Airtel Cheating me :(:(:(

Till now i was in Airtel 80GB plan, and recently shifted to 3GB plan (not unlimited) since i had migrated to other ISP :(

My billing starts on 17 of every month, and today i got sms that my 3GB limit is over :(

While i use to access Airtel broadband to access some of my hosting service, and emails, no downloads nothing not even surfing :(

While checking online usage, they saying 3GB over, but in details its only 1.3GB from Feb 17 to till date :(

are they trying to cheat me ? ?
 
Got a message from Airtel that they are revising monthly rental by 100 bucks. Called up the cust service and asked them to cnx service. Took me almost an hour to convince them for cancellation.
Fine print:
  • it will take about 7 days for disconnection.
  • My bill generates on 26th each month. Senior rep told me I will have to pay rental for this month and the next too as it takes 7 days for cnx :eek:. I wonder if cancellation involves cabinet approva :confused:l!! Should be instantaneous or max one day. And why would I pay for April when I am getting my connection disconnected in March.
 
^^ Just don't pay and they'll cancel it anyway.

@Being.smart Just call customer service and ask them to provide logs else you are not going to pay. And mention it clearly that you didn't cross 3GB limit as you have bandwidth monitors installed.

In the mean time, their retention team will give you call and offer better plans.

i was left with no other choice other than upgrading :(, upgraded to some 699 UL plan to keep it as secondary connection

The same thing happened to me when I upgraded from 500mb to 1gb 3G plan. Got a SMS that I had used 900 mb in one day. On contacting them, it appeared it was some system error. Actual usage was only 30mb. The Rep told me not to worry as actual billing will be on actual usage only.

To be on the safe side, I just mailed them highlighting the SMS as well as my subsequent talks with cust care. But the bill received was proper and showed only 700mb usage, much below my 1gb limit.

So it's their system error which happens whenever u change the plan. It's really funny but that's the way it is.
