but the picture quality is flawless, looks amazing on TVs no matter what size) There was no pixelation and the picture was perfect.

- Sound Quality: It has amazing sound, almost DVD quality there as well. No hiccups in audio, nice streaming.

- Remote: Universal Remote is provided with Airtel Digital TV, meaning that your TV and the STB will work with the same remote. So say goodbye to two remotes! Also, even though it is a universal remote, it is actually really light unlike Tata Sky and Big TV remotes.

- Set Top Box: The overall appearance of the Airtel STB is very sleek and stylish, it does not appear like a huge bulky box. Its really nice and compact (Pictures coming today evening)

- Dish: Airtel Digital TV has a bigger Dish than the existing companies, which makes sure that you don’t lose connectivity even in heavy rainfall. Although we at SaveOnDish have yet to see a live demo of this, but the size of the Dish looks really nice (Pictures coming soon!)

- Channels: Airtel Digital TV has almost all the popular channels with no exclusions except maybe UTV Bindass and a few channels here and there, but they are soon going to be at 175 channels in a few months which would mean, all channels under one connection! (Complete list of channels coming today)

- Pricing: Airtel Digital TV has flexible pricing options, and a lot of packs to make sure you get what you want.

- Active Services: Airtel Digital TV has 8 active services which are very useful as well. It includes iMatinee through which you can book cinema tickets, iCity for knowing more about your city and its places, iNews for getting in touch with the latest news, iShop for shopping, iAstro for knowing your astrological predictions, iTravel for knowing more about travelling, iLearn and iNet.

- It takes little time to go through channels unlike Big TV, and it has a lot of options for easy browsing.

- Excellent software, looks really eye catching and does not look complicated

- It has a working USB slot, meaning you can use it all you want (Imagine the possibilities)

- It has a games section and new games are added every six months so that people could get to play new games

- The STB has a bigger memory than the existing STBs of other companies, which means that it can hold up more games, programs etc.

About the cons area, I didn’t see any real cons in Airtel Digital TV, and no we are not being paid to say this, the entire experience was really good, right from the customer care to the actual demonstration of the product. Although I did think that the pricing was a bit too high, but we are sure they’ll introduce a Diwali offer which will have cheaper installation + plans.

While you’re at it, we at SaveOnDish are going to add the following information about Airtel Digital TV within a day or so:

- COMPLETE List of Channels with Channel Numbers
- Complete list of packages with List of Channels + Pricing + Installation charges information
- A lot of pictures of the Airtel Digital TV remote, STB, Dish etc.
- Information on getting Airtel Digital TV

So keep checking back at SaveOnDish! and we’ll have you updated.

donno about the actual viewing experience but i guess someone posted the plans and they suck!
No sports channels in any package except the most expensive package i.e. around Rs. 450. So, u'll have to pay Rs. 450 per month if u wanna watch sports channels.

Why does this look like a advert more than a review/preview.
I was hoping that some one would bring this up.. I was following this site saveondish when reliance big tv was abt to launch... They made the same kind of promo and even ditched the other providers in their review.. The site promoters are just getting free subscriptions / some kind of preference and they write reviews in their favour :@
I for one will not respect what they have to say and would be more willing to hear from fellow members who experience it.

Hi Brothers,

This is Mr. Channel from SaveOnDish.com. I felt the need to sign up and clear some things.

See, we don't get paid for anything! :) Serving people with their DTH problems for about three years now, we haven't gotten paid a single cent (except the advertising revenues of course). Our reviews of the services at first are top notch reviews mostly because most first-day reviews are good. The equipment is new, all the staff are working and everyone is eager to show that their company is the best, the result shows and the reviews come out really good!

We at SaveOnDish understand this, but Big TV and Airtel Digital TV seriously were very good as DTH companies. Therefore the reviews were good. Later on, Big TV started having its own share of problems, and you can find detailed descriptions of all of them in Big TV, it is inevitable, but we can vouch for the Big TV we saw, same goes with Airtel Digital TV, if they make hay of what was once gold, it ain't our fault. Can't predict the future now can we?

But yes, we do get invited by these companies so that we may put their features and information up on SaveOnDish, they don't even pay for petrol though. Its our job to tell you whats up, and we do that. If anyone believes otherwise, or has had a bad experience and wants to share it, our forum is always there. Plus in the past, we've put up home page articles on the flaws of Dish TV and Tata Sky, Big TV and Digital TV are relatively new, and it will take some time to figure them out completely, as I write this, a feature on Big TV's lousy customer care is in the works :)

So there is no need to worry about SaveOnDish.com's credibility, we are here to serve you and not the DTH providers, consumer power for the win!

Signing off,
Mr. Channel

I recently installed AIRTEL IPTV. Installation experience was nice, the guys were very professional, decent and responsive (10 out of 10). However other than that everything else is bad -

1. Very poor picture quality, smudgy video, spilling out colors

2. Very high latency in changing channels or any commands

3. Very bad video quality

4. Significant decline in broadband experience on internet.

It is very expensive for the service provided. MY SUGGESTION at this time is to avoid. The technology is yet not perfect in India.
