Hi Guys,

Yesterday while watching IPL match I saw this ads of Airtel Launching DVR.:ohyeah:

The price is nearly same as that of Tata Sky+ ie 6999rs for both new and old subscriber but old subscriber will get 1000rs credit.:bleh:

And I hope features will be also same.

You can check it feature on the below link.

digital TV Recorder- DTH Recorder from Airtel

This recorder has HDMI and it seems that it also supports HD!(not yet confirmed)

BTW, Airtel is also launching HD STBs(without recorder) for Rs.4000 VERY soon! :)

Any Idea will this box be HD compatible and could it record HD shows if they are launched.:hap2:

Whats this feature ?

For the first time in India, record TV from your mobile

Ehh just saw the demo on site.. It will give run for money for TATA Sky +

its actually cool n gonna break the sun hd streak.. this Pvr box itself has got a hdmi port which wud give hd channels wen airtel starts hd services and they also announced recorder less hd stb for 4k..

So for now HD = HDMI ?

yup...just for the sake of a single a/v output..

i hope prices will come down in a month or two...

dont think so..coz sundirect is still giving hd only stb for 9000 n 7500 for existing sd users.. so for 7000 a hd pvr wud be a steal deal

Just because the STB has a HDMI, doesn't mean it supports HD content.

True, can anyone confirm if it's capable of delivering HD content? It's got HDMI port with hard disk for recording and if it can deliver HD content also in the future, then its a very good deal. Else, another upgrade of STB when HD arrives :( (Although it can take a very long time for HD to materialize)

hey.. so any1 tried it yet? is it HD capable? and what is the capacity? i tried tata sky + at a cu's place for quite a bit and was impressed. it was fast, can record while in standby and the STB looks good too. though i'm intrigued by this mobile thingy.. how have they implemented it? is the STB network aware?
