the USB is disabled so you can't access your HDD via a PC. Also, the HDD content itself is encrypted with the NDS middleware CA system, so you can't view the stored videos even if you physically disconnect the HDD from the PVR and connet it to a PC directly.

How does the STB respond to the mobile commands??
I presume the mobile app sends instruction to the Airtel broadcasting server which further relays it to the STB. however is there a reverse flow of information back to the airtel server? Simplex communication is my understanding.
