Hello

Airtel again become first operator in landline and broadband to make call to cc paid this time its 50 paisa per call to 121 and any complain calls to 198 will be free. I just seen this in 2X2 ad in hindustan times which was hardly look like a ad. Happy calling

I think its been this way for a while now. Even Vodafone charges me for calls to their CC.
I dont care about the call costs as long as they fix my problems within a few hours.

If the problems at their end, and the inconvenience at yours, then how is it alright for them to charge a user for pointing out their error to them?

^^ It was started because of all the misuse . You know all those retards trying to talk and sometime even tease with the CC chicks

Even reliance(GSM) has started it recently.

But on the other side i do not have any balance so cant complain :P.

Only those thief (CHOR) companies have started it

It was made compulsory for all operators but others have not implemented it except AIRTEL and vodafone

Because at best a customer is entitled to support to get his issues resolved, not to toll free calls. Just because some companies provided toll free calls to their customer care numbers does not mean the customer is entitled to toll free calls as part of customer care. Its perfectly alright for them to charge for the calls and its also alright for them to charge those calls at full price as well.

Just to put things into perspective, there are many companies that provide paid support for their products/services. Not only do you call with your own $$, they would also charge you for the support they provided you for issues you had with their products.

yeah true ! I listened to couple of CC conversation tapes. Total retards call up the cc and tell them to put them on conference with their gf's, IDIOTS !

came to know about this 3-4 months back when I called Vodafone CC, its chargeable @ 0.50 per 3 minutes.....Now how much more reasonable can they get??? also just came to know the other day that the time that the executive puts you on hold is not chargeable!

I have worked at an inbound customer care and seriously guys certain people are just sick! I can understand that since we are taking their service, we are entitled for support but its those among us (general public) only that misuses it and now everyone has to pay for it.

didn't you read landline and broadband

This was started long back in Dec or Jan
no it wasn't

the question is, when airtel initially started providing CC with a toll free no., did they add the cost of running this service to monthly internet/phone bill? for sure airtel is not a charity org. they wouldnt be paying the CC bill from their own pockets. now that they have started charging for calls to CC they should reduce the tariff as well.

yes I was charged for calling cc for mobile

but later i had changed it in feb as Airtel starting eating my balance like a beggar

If it helps them solve our problems I'm all happy.

One's principles should not be perturbed by such petty issues.

before the call is connected to the customer care the IVR says " this call is chargeable @ 50p/3miin, press 1 to continue" , so they inform u before calling and its not that they deduct balance without ur knowledge

^^ and nobody eats ur balance like a beggar , think of where u call uselessly rather than saying that the mobile companies eat like a beggar , all companies have almost similar rates these days , thats the need of the competition , to stay in the market ,

the fares are almost same , so u cant say this operator loots or as such , if u not happy , why dont u change ur no and move to ur desired operator

as of now i guess only tata docomo offers free call to CC coz i use it as my secondary no.

they r also cheaper than other operators:

like airtel prepaid daily plan is for Rs 5

vodafone daily plan is Rs 4 - as seen in the parrot ad :P

docomo daily plan is just Rs 2

So CC should just hang up. Losers who wanna hit on CC chicks would still do it and pay for it. I don't think that is a valid ground for charging CC services from genuine users.

You don't know my bad experience with airtel
I am not worried about them charging for calling cc but they had deducted my balance uselessly by sending messages that thanks for activating xyz pack (like beauty tips or shayri) and stuff like that
And have already changed my operator
