hey guys ....thought of getting reliance wimax in my new place but got d feedback dat signal is not gud at all and its d 1ly service available there.........thinkin of connecting my lappy with airtel gprs......what u guys think ...howz d speed ...can i connect my lappy n chat in any messanger through this...........?
 
Speeds will depend on your locality. I'm getting pretty decent speeds no my Edge enabled phone. But then I guess reliance wimax will definitely be better, even if the signal reception isn't that good.

hi check.....ny idea can u sign up in any messanger like gtalk or yahoo through this..............
 
I am on a pretty old Spice handset (S-600) and use it for accessing the internet through Airtel GPRS.... the speeds are slow but usable....what I do is disable images and flash in Firefox and then it gets more bearable......although you can keep at least images enabled and browse.....chatting is okay once you sign in, which takes some time....and even p2p transfers average at about 5kBps d/l speed which is enough for the odd radio-show/ebook/mp3 if you want to download once in a while.
 
whats the price you are paying for airtel gprs?.Is it an unlimited one.Idea the mofo have increased their gprs unlimited plan from 9 rs to 35 rs unllimited.So just asking if the member of the cartel airtel has increased the prices.
