planning to buy an Airtel sim in few days . wanted to ask whether mobile office internet service will be provided for new connections also.. how's the tariff's in bangalore .anyone using it.. how's speed ???

I dnt know about the mobile office....but i have been using the NOP ( Net On Phone ) from quite a long now...the speeds are decent....u can surf aaram se ....no hassle wat so ever...

They charge u 20Rs/ day, and the speeds are pretty decent. Get a good mobile browser like opera mini and enjoy the net on ur mobile.

20 bucks a day!! That cant be right. 12 is more like it. Rs 350a month.

I used it for almost 2 years before switching to NOP at the beginning of the month. I don't know about Bangalore, but speeds are good in large cities like Bombay and Pune. it varies from place to place though. Max speed was 12kbps though 10 is more less the norm.

yup earlier it was 7 now its 15...also i guess ofr postpaid they have restricted even after a person pays 400 buk per month with download mb limits......

Yea..its bloody expensive in Mumbai..399 bucks per month with only 100 MB free download!!!

check with the CC guys..

Airtel often has unadvertised plans on prepaid cards

e.g a single day pack (advertised) costs 20/- and is activated by sending "GPRS" to 56789

but the 7 day pack (not advertised) costs 75/- and is activated by sending "GPRS7" to 56789

Funny thing is that the advertised monthly pack is 350/- and has a 200 or 500 MB limit while the 7 day pack works out cheaper, and has unlimited BW
