Airtel : New Delhi : Is network down.

Hey...

Can any one quickly confirm if Airtel is down in New Delhi. My BB dropped complete range like 40 minutes ago. Tried manual network selection/automatic/restart/battery pull. Is not acquiring.

Then I tried it in my spare E50 -- again no network at all.

Me too in South Delhi..
Nope still no network..
Spoke to Airtel landline & broadband CC, they confirmed about the network issue in Delhi.
But they were saying, there is a problem only for Postpaid users.
But im currently on prepaid. :-(
 
Can you give me a number where I can call them from a NON-Airtel cell. Not that 1-2-1 thing.

I think the number used to be 44444121 for the metros. Give a try :)

That is just for existent Airtel Broadband connection users. I need for mobiles...! :)
 
^^ Years back it used to be 9892098920 and 9892012345 (one for prepaid and another for postpaid). Don't know if it is still valid :P

At least people get unreachable status with Airtel.

My MTNL with full signal bar says Switched Off or No. Doesn't Exist to the caller,,,,,,
 
I also faced this issue i though my Champ is dead so in hurry i restored the factory settings alnd lsot all my contacts Damn I am porting out soon :(

And I have noticed the strangest thing. Whenever my 2G signal is down to 2,1 or 0 bars, if I switch to 3G, it gives me full(and when 2G is full, I usually get 3 out of 6 bars of 3G at my house).

I don't understand WTF they keep doing. Me in Saket, so possible we are using the same tower and hence experiencing the problem at the same time(happened 2 or 3 nights ago)

I have not taken any 3G plan, but at times I can manually select 3G when 2G is acting funny --- which it does quite a bit. The worst thing is, people call me "what is wrong, I keep getting your phone is switched off, or not in network". When I never switch of my phone.
 
Same happens with me as well...
If my phone is not reachable, at times the other person gets to hear that the phone is switched off, or at times even if my phone is not busy, the other person gets a call wait tone.

But your phone IS actually reachable. It would be showing full range. Yes, people tell me call waiting -- when I am sitting at home gaming. Really irritating.
