Before switching hope u know that in 1299 there is no fup on night download but on 1099 there is fup overall of 100gb. and no point switching to 1099 if its not 1mbps overall
 
Its going to take some time for them to upgrade all the lines.... we might have a new player coming it by the time they have changed all there lines. So, no point changing plans right now.

i think trai is gonna annouce least 512 kbps = broadband soon and airtel leaked this or something >.<, so doint this they are.. who knows... about time though...
 
^ I suspect the same. It's not normal for any Indian ISP to increase minimum speeds by 8 times without any incentive or competition.
 
My airtel speed is doubled as well .I noticed it last week,i though it was glitch but no the speed is doubled for good :D

Why are you unhappy about that?

your speeds have increased(2x and 4x times) and that too without paying a single penny and yet you are not happy?

I got close to 500KBps on march15th.I wanted to start a thread here.but on 16th,speeds dropped to 125-130 KBps

i read at the india braodband forums (not sure) that bsnl will double speeds from Q3, and this 1 month 2x increase is a testing phase.

Me being on bsnl can say their 2x incrase in speeds have raped my pings, on starhub i used to get ~ 80-110, now getting ~120-280 :|, and pings fluctuate like crazy ****. :@
 
they actually increased it before once.. when i was on 64 when airtel launched.. they moved me to 128.. so tis not the first..its true that they've taken over 5 yrs to announce again..

who knows, maybe bill gates embarrassed mittal infront of everybody..
 
^^ lol Mr Mittal and $hit Indian banias are never embarassed. Ambanis are another example. They worship only Money and God , not customers :rofl:
