I am planning to take 2 airtel postpaid corporate SIM mainly for the CUG it offers and also it seems more VFM than prepaid airtel in Karnataka.
Plan detail: Rs.250 + Tax
600 mins local + STD GSM free. (600*.36 -> Rs.216)(STD usage is higher than local usage for me)
150 Local + 150 National SMS free.
No deposits or activation charges.
After free its 20p Local airtel, 30p A2M and 50p L. and flat 50p for STD.

With the current prepaid booster that offers 1.2p/2 sec the booster amount + 1 min extra amount works out to Rs. 68.7 per month for booster. So I feel the post paid plan is better.

I can also claim 20% tax benefit on this. So its actually Rs.200+tax.

Problem is the agent is only offering 1GB 3G plan of Rs.250 as minimum. Else he has the Rs.125 2G plan.

The query is if I take the above Rs.250 corporate postpaid plan can I add the 300MB Rs.100 post paid 3G plan that airtel offers to it later in say a couple of weeks without going through the agent?

Also can I check the minutes that I have used up and the data I have consumed even if I use postpaid so that I don't exceed my limits by lot and end up with huge bills?

I am new to postpaid. Thus the queries.

data plans are VAS services. you can subscribe/unsubscribe/change them anytime.

few data plans are offered only to select corporate users. so you have to check if your company employees are eligible for these data plans or not.
corporate customer care can tell you this..

Once you get the connection from the agent, you can contact the Airtel customer care and check if you can get the data plan changed.

For the usage, why not use some app. if you are using Android/iOS ?

1GB 3G didn't even last a day for me. Speedtest used up 20-30MB. I watched a few YouTube videso and did a lot surfing. It was enough. Stopped 3G the next day and am still looking for a plan. I use Airtel.

Also can I check the minutes that I have used up and the data I have consumed even if I use postpaid so that I don't exceed my limits by lot and end up with huge bills?

Generally on post paid connection you can not check minutes/texts/2G data usage-remainder. However for 3G data you can check. I m on Vodafone postpaid but I guess it will be same for all the operators.
