This tactics of Airtel is ridiculous. Whenever i end up opening couple of tabs after sometime i get this stupid banner from Airtel Smartbytes. The trouble is even after I select obvious option, after cple of minutes it pops up again. This is irritating. Also I get logged out of TE or similar forums after the pop up.

What happens during the pop up? Enlighten me.
How does the ISP smuggle some pop up like this?

Obvious question - What should I do to get rid of this PITA?
I also tried changing DNS. The trouble is on both the rigs and also laptops. Hence the trouble is with DNS. Should I change everytime I connect.

Setup:
I - i5 rig on Win 7 Home Premium
II - AMD X2 5600+ on Win 7 and Ubuntu Dual OS

Browsers - Chrome, IE & Firefox

Mode of Interet connection - ISP to Modem and then to Linksys WIFI Router.

Use some Ad blocker application. What about Ad block plus for FF. You all tried that.

I doubt adblocker would be of any help as its not a pop up or a advertisement rather a browser redirection to airtel server.

@Metalspree, Nah, for me it always begin from end of quota and pests me till nxt quota, basically from Day 2 to Day 30...so you can understand. Yes its a browser redirection of sorts. The thing is I get logged out frequently from forums, that's how i found out. Not to mention, typing a long mail and getting this MSG and then getting logged out. Can't see this through.
@asingh This occurs even on Chrome with its pop up blockers too. Anyway what app u want me to give it a shot.

I am pretty sure that this problem is being faced by all users of this ISP. What method is being employed here and how can we circumvent this hijack.

I used to get it once every morning, but since the past couple of months it's been behaving, and shows up 1-2 times only.
You have to make sure you choose "continue as per plan" and click ok.

It's not a pop-up, it's a re-direction. I don't think there's anything you can do about it except complain or change your ISP.

I've never been logged out of any site because of this, but one time it happened when I was paying a bill online. Luckily it was before I'd verified the transaction. A few seconds later, I'd have entered my password, and the money would have disappeared from my account for a month.

Airtel really sucks. I need to migrate, but I'm sceptical about the service of Reliance/Tata in Pune.

2 things I would recommend is - First get rid of the number in the attached image. Second it is not a huge problem hence simply ignore it.

@ch@ts Been doing the same clicking continue as per plan and then ok. no need to enter the captcha. Thank goodness, so far I did not loose money when doing online transactions.
@prabs - Thanks man. Done the change. Its not a big problem, the problem is as mentioned above:
- Getting logged out of forums, mails seems to irritate a lot.
- Think of typing a horrendously long message & when posting it, u get logged out. Thanks to auto save in many servers we are saved the blushes.
- As pointed out by ch@ts above, imagine losing ur money this way getting logged out between webstore /bank and Secure access. This will be trouble.

How about Add Block Plus for FF. It has a show, blockable elements.

@ asingh, Ad block plus not helping here. tried it out for few days. Gonna understand how they do that. Time to try wireshark. I have an idea on avoiding this...but not confirmed. Will let u all know in a few days on wireshark.

What's the need to use an NSFW title for the thread..?
It wont convey how much your cheeks hurt, nor will they expedite the solution your way.
