Airtel SMS Pack Recharge

Guys,

Is there a code/number, a way to get the SMS pack of my choice activated without visting the recharge shop.
Suppose i want to get the 34 sms pack activated on my number, is there a way that i can directly activate the SMS pack from home, and 34 could be deducted from my actual balance.

Also, anyone aware about a good sms pack for Airtel Delhi/NCR.
The ones i am aware about are :
34/- (Local 340 SMS) 30 days validity
88/- (700 National & Local SMS Free per day) 30 days validity

As per the Airtel wbsite only the 88 offer is shown:
Airtel Best Value Offers & Plan

Any other good offer on the sms pack ? :huh:

RC62, gives 1000 sms local/national both, I'm using it
 
Don't know about Delhi, but here in UP West, Recharge of 36 gives you 3000 Local+National SMS for 30 days.

But can't see this offer on the airtel website, also i dialled 12131 for best offer, it said no current offer available for your no.
Is this 62 offer only for selected users ?

Also, no way to directly get this offer ?
Like the recharge for 98 internet plan, we can activate the scheme from our mobile itself and Rs.98 gets deducted from our actual balance.

Plans for 35 with 3000 sms are available to delhi users, for RC88, I know (EDIT:) Airtel sucks!

For Delhi NCR:

34 - 340sms local

46 - 500sms local

62 - 1000sms local/national

88 - 100sms/day(3000 total) local/national

All these plans are valid to your local shop, as them to recharge for 62 sms pack, they will do it
 
Finally found a way to get the SMS pack done from a USSD code itself at home ...

Method:

Dial *777*34# for the "34 - 340sms local" offer

Dial *777*62# for the "62 - 1000sms local/national" offer

Dial *777*88# for the "88 - 100sms/day(3000 total) local/national"

Once you enter this code, it will tell you the scheme for that particular code and prompt you to enter 1 if you want to proceed with the recharge.

And within a minute's time you get a confirmation message and the amount gets deducted from your balance.

RECHARGE SUCCESSFUL !

AWESOME !!!

Finally, solved the mystery to get the SMS pack done from home itself .... :-)

In order to check the SMS balance and validity of the scheme, Dial *123*3#

I know this, but here's the downside.

If I recharge anything less than that Rs. 400 something, I dont get full talk time. Say I recharged Rs. 100, I get a balance of Rs. 87 only. And I deduct Rs. 62 for the sms pack.

So How much did I actually spend? Rs. 62 + Rs. 100-87 = Rs. 75

THats why I recharge from my local guy. This wont apply if you go for full talktime recharge though.

Airtel had implemented the TRAI ruling due to which the amount of free SMS was limited to 100 SMS/day and after that all SMS's were charged.

Has airtel removed that feature?

I mean can we send more than 100 SMS/day for free now using the Rs. 80 or Rs.88 packs?

Here's the funny part. Me and my friend, both on airtel, went to recharge and I got 3000sms/month and she got 21000sms/month i.e., I got 100sms/day and she got 700sms/day for the same RC88 on our prepaid connections.

Now, I just don't understand. What did I do wrong? Why does AIrtel hate me so much? I feel discriminated against.
 
I so love bsnl's plans (not their network or customer support though). Rs. 32 recharge gets me 2000 local and 1000 national sms's!

And sometimes I don't being mind being dominated by women, in some, err scenarios...

well said.

aircel gives better scheme here in mumbai.

i do 61 rs recharge and it has 6100 sms for 61 days.

nice scheme.long validity so better utilisation and more value for money.

You sure that the 100 sms/day limit has been removed?

I emailed Failtel CC on their airtel presence email id and wanted to know if the limit has been removed. They replied that they wanted even more information from me before they can answer my query and needed my contact details for that.

Till today I used to think that my email id was one of my contact details!!! :-/
 
what you expect out of their failtel customer care.

earlier they used to have awesome,well trained customer care guys.

now its all filled up with assh*les.

*777#
