akai dvd player 401, anyone usedi it?

saw a ad on paper saying akai dvd player 401 costs 2k. Well what got me interested is MP4 playback. Anyone used it?

i don't think akai is a reliable brand.

go for samsung or sony....

Akai's r all TAIWAN made assembled boards,so goes for many other "known" Indian brands!

...had the Akai 10000 DVD-player,3 yrs back.....for a f***'ing 11k

....Pic quality was quite"good",no progressive scan though....

....anyway,lasted good for 3 yrs,till now

BUt sorry dont know abt 401,maybe at BEST,a good VFM set!

Don't go for Sony. It is sucked for some CD/DVD's. May be for copy right issue.

As Sony it self in Music and Movie sector.

In one of reviews I read that Akai DVD player almost runs all types of CD's and DVD's no problem with Pirated too.

BTW,i too have the Philips DVD-Divx-DVP642K.....but it rather crops up trouble with sum mp3's
