they didn't take into account the shipping cost ($72). The manufacturer or seller isn't going to ship it free. This is currently one of the lowest priced tablets when it hits the shelves, cause its made in India. There are made in PRC tablets having a gb of ram and 800Mhz processors but they cost $50 plus another $45 for shipping. So total cost would be around 95 USD which isn't cheap compared to this. It would be another story if this tablet was made with those specs. Then this would be a really huge market hit.

after reading that review, I dont have high hopes of the consumer retail version of that product. i think i'll search for something else now.

3k is the MRP. Expect it to retail online for ~ 2.8k or so. I couldn't ask more from it in 3k especially when it carries a 1 year warranty unlike the Chinese Tabs.

In any case, the review is about the Sarkari verson of the Tab. The open market one is bound to be better.

It is more like a use and throw product. Any news on its availability??
