AKG K240

Are these headsets legit or just the name?
I need a full-ear headset with a good mic. Was thinking of buying a used gaming wala as they have mic but some recommended "studio" one with clip-on mic. Low budget is the issue.
Btw I can't open the second link.
studio headsets usually have better imaging and soundspace. you can pin point the footstep up-down, left-right, front-back.
the akg ones above seem to be open-back. sound leaks out and outside sound can be heard. I could not use it with a fan as the fan sound leaked in.

Akg 240 are great studio monitors / headphones but are open or semi open back which means you get great details ( better than closed backs ) but no isolation at all so not ideal for gaming.

Having said that they generally go for minimum 60 - 70$ in US so are great steal at that price especially for music as long as your have a good dac but like other used said sound will leak and if u are in an environment where there's too much sound they aren't ideal .

Personally I use grados which are completely open back and I have used these in past and they sound great for vocals and stuff but ofc not ideal for gaming.

You can easily find some cheap budget acoustic panels form amazon for isolation in room and use these for recording they are pretty good in that sense, especially for the sale price . I always say every music listener should always have an open back to listen to music how it's meant to be but that's just me.
