I can't understand what's wrong with electronic items manufactured in recent times. None of them can withstand lasting a good year, before coming up with an issue or two.

I got this speaker set last year in May from a lot of recommendations out here. It worked amazingly well and I was very happy with it's bass response too. Since the last 2 months, the woofer started making some sort of odd sound, as if some stones were beng hurled at it. Off late, the sound goes off balance. It just starts going in and out randomly. The odd sound I mentioned from the woofer, comes out even if there is no audio source connected to it. Connected my headphone to it, still no go.

This is extremely annoying. My question is, what should I do? Repair or purchase a new one? :(

Buddy , I am also facing some issue with this set. In my case, the sound is very low but it irritates. I have felt one more thing, earlier its reproduction of all types of frequencies was quite good but now it plays them just like any other audio set. Earlier every part of sound distinguishable but now some frequencies are lost during reproduction. The magic is lost now...I am also confused what to do

Had the same issue, threw away the set. Been actively dissuading people from buying this model, its nowhere close to ATP3. I bought the Edifier C3, and am happy with it.

I was never happy with VS4121, as my earlier speakers (some Artis 2.1 speakers) were clearly much better at half the cost, and they lasted longer.

Exactly! My Creative SBS230 lasted 3 years before finally giving up and that was half the cost of this set. :(

How much does the Edifier C3 cost? What's the warranty on it?

I got if for 6.8k, with 1 year warranty. Dont know of any audio companies providing more then 1 year of warranty :(
