I am getting fed up waiting for the Sabertooth P67 B3. Looks like its not going to be here any time soon. What are the alternative B3 revised boards currently available in India? Should have the following.

1. 8 SATA Ports in total (6 slots is an absolute no no).

2. 2 x PCIe x16/8 slots with separation of at least two slots in between (will be running dual GPU with 2 x HD6970)

3. At least one PCIe x1 slot in usable condition for X-Fi Titanium.

4. Good over-clocker

Asus P8P67 Pro/Dlx and Gigabyte P67A-UD7 are other alternatives for the requirements you've laid out but the latter is more expensive. Heck, even the UD4, UD5, UD3P, UD3R doesn't have 8 SATA ports. :/

I wonder why are you so hellbent on getting the Sabertooth! Is there anything in the board that you are particularly looking for over the rest of the Asus' lineup? Save for the 5 year warranty and the looks?

Are the B3 revised versions of P8P67 Deluxe/P67A-UD7 available locally? Didn't find them listed with any of the standard dealers.

^^ Nothing much except for great expansion slot layout, less hardware bloat and good quality components at a decent price.

Sincere apologies for hijacking this thread oh Lord! :P

But instead of opening a thread with the same query thought of reusing the same. I am also looking to buy any of the Asus B3 boards and could not find them anywhere around. So was wondering whats up with the availability?

Although availability seems to be an issue, there are others who've laid their hands on the B3 boards.

I'd sent a PM to Rahul @ ITWares few days back asking the availability of the P8P67 Pro but no response as yet. I think none of the retailers around Bombay have the boards.

SMC wouldn't respond either.

^^ Don't mind, me too just looking for the alternatives.

Its pathetic that none of these boards are available here even after so many days of availability in US and other places. One single board like Sabertooth P67, I can understand, but none of the other boards worth considering are available locally. Even P8P67 Pro/Deluxe are not available with any of our standard dealers.

In any case, P8P67Pro/Deluxe are available on eBay.in with price tags slightly on the higher side.

Seriously. I wonder why none of the retailers seem interested either. All they post are deals for H67 boards. :(

In fact I am planning to get all the stuff (board, processor and memory) combined via ebay so I could avail their 6th annv. offer and claim a free gift so I could sell it off later and get some discounts. The Olympus cam could very well be worth at least 4k. :P

Not a bad idea for the board! The proccy seems way overpriced on ebay and with only one seller ain't too confidence inspiring. I'd rather buy the mobo only from ebay and get the proccy from a TE dealer.

EDIT: Alarm alarm! The gifts for 10K and above (imation hdd and olympus cam) are both outta stock :(

^^ The question is whether they are with warranty or not. No point getting a board for higher than normal prices only end up without warranty.

Which is why I'd stick to known retailers like dvdstoredelhi, ITWares and Prime to put up the deals.

Will send a mail to Prime on Monday, asking about the availability. I've waited enough. Got a bunch of games in the backlog. :ashamed:

^^ I have got more than a bunch of PC games in my backlog. :P Darn It, I have a lot of moolah piled up for the upgrades, but can't start because of unavailability of these motherboards.

Anyways, If you find any info on availability post back here. I am ready to pounce on a P8P67 Deluxe or even a Gigabyte P67A-UD7 (if its under 21k) if I can find one.

You didn't like the MSI P67A-GD65 board... it got good reviews and good for overclocking too...

That was also an option I was considering, but read on newegg that there were a lot of people who ran into boot issues with this board.

...Really ASUS is annoying us by this delay have been waiting for the ASUS broad forever now...and no news....
"ASUS What the hell is taking so long!!!!"
...its putting me of Sandy bridge itself!!!
They better come in this week.....

For the first time I have everything else ordered than the CPU and MOBO!!!

^^ I think the problem is the distributors in India. Revised Asus boards have been available in other countries for quite some time.

Wait, so there are some of us who are willing to pick up the boards right? In which case I shall contact Gulbir directly over a mail and ask him if the boards are available and that some if us in the forum are willing to buy them.

Will ask whatever range is available from Asus. I am looking for a Pro, Lord is looking for a Sabertooth (or a Dlx), you are looking for a Dlx or a Pro, not sure what Infected is looking for.

What about processors? 2500k all of us?

I think we'll leave RAM out of the equation since some of them seem to have got it. And is widely available.
