what are the idle temperatures that you guys are seeing?

and i have the weirdest batch number from costarica

Got my P8P67 Deluxe today. I didn't buy other components waiting for the Motherboard and now I have the motherboard, but don't have the other components to start with my build :@

Dude! Got my SB rig up and running. Posted pictures in the show off section in 'Your PC picture'. Check it out. Got my i5 2500k running at 4.2ghz with load temps of 55-57 degrees Celsius. Idle temps 32-36 degrees. waiting on my G.skill Ripjaws X ram. ordered from SMC. then will OC a bit more.

My board is DOA.

The CPU_LED is blinking red all the time. Seems many users have faced this problem, indicating a bad board or in the worst case a bad processor, which is very very remote.

Sending it back to Prime tomorrow.

That is just crumm. When you were planning a Crysis 2 weekend.

I was getting a red LED near the CPU too.. did the clr rtc jumper thing and switched off tpu and epu and started.. still it gave me red led for 3 seconds but after that it booted and all went well after that.. now tpu and epu both are switched on.. try switching off tpu.. and try doing the clr rtc thing if that doesnt work too...

Guy's SMC is going to get shipments of GSKill RAM by tomorrow. I have placed order for 2 Kits of Ripjaws X CL8 RAM.

G-Skill[ Ripjaws-X ] F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM

Not much cost over 8GBXL for the tighter timings and the blue heat spreaders on these complement the blue heat sink design on the Asus P8P67 boards. :P

Also placed order for Venomous X from prime which should be shipped out today.

Yes indeed they look really nice....

so you going for 16Gb of those in all?

^^ Yep two kits of 8GBXM for a total of 16GB. Don't have to worry about upgrading memory or finding compatible kits later on like I had to with my previous build. Also wouldn't have to worry about quad channel if I decide to upgrade to LGA2011 later on.

Also from newegg comments for this RAM, there are supposedly running well with the P8P67 series boards.

A small update from my end. :ashamed:

The P8P67 Pro board was working when tested with other SNB processors. The culprit here turned out to be the processor itself. Now Intel's RMA policy states the replacement can be gotten from the dealer itself if it is within 30 days of the purchase but SMC wants me to say otherwise to Intel and get a replacement from them. I have clearly denied it and asked them for a replacement. No response as yet.

In any case, Intel needs the proof of purchase and the invoice from SMC clearly reads 28th March. I wonder why do they want me to do so when they can give me a replacement instead and close the deal.

^^ That is really sad coming from someone as reputed as SMC. :(
Totally I mean Intel wouldn't touch the processor the moment they see the invoice with the date on it. Which means I will have to wait until 28th April which I can't.

I wonder what does SMC lose here. I have clearly told them I've been a customer of yours since 2005 and not to disappoint me else I might have to spread the bad word around the forums.

Lord, what is your status? What else is pending from your end? Display and chassis?

^^

That is weird behavior by SMC being such reputed dealers of Nehru Place. Did they give you the reason/logic why then want you to deal directly with Intel...? Also have you sent them any written communication about RMA. Your cut-off date is approaching. 28th. Be careful, these dealers love to play within loop-holes and expand.
