Recieved Echo Plus. Well packed. Setup was effortless. Now to wait for other stuff...

Amazon has increased prime memberhip amount to 999/-. Seems lot of people have left Prime. So Amazon came up with a new plan. Buy Prime between Oct 31,2017 - Dec 31 2017 and get 500 rupees back. Got an sms with this offer. Offer is only for people whose Prime membership expired 30 days before or after Oct 31, 2017.
 
The volume ring thing is awesome, much better than the buttons on the Echo. Additionally, used some of the skills, and no issues with understanding the accent.

To my knowledge, the only people who left prime are those who are not in tier 1/2 cities where the prime membership is not of much use. prime video is not of much use if the internet is not great, plus its not like youtube go.[DOUBLEPOST=1509516677][/DOUBLEPOST]OK, facing an issue when using in crowded environment with glass back. Will speak to Amazon about it - the device gets confused and the green circle which indicated approx direction of voice keeps going from front to back.
 
OK, The echo has an issue in crowded environments for sure - I took it to my office. It's not able to hear the keyword and/or hear what I am saying all the time. Additionally, it has an issue stringing 2 requests like Play hindi instrumental music for example.

Apart from that, we had a lot of fun with the Echo, with people calling it Alekhya, playing Marathi songs (from Sairat), asking sports updates, jokes, and finally abusing it in Marathi when it would not play anything :P
