Amazon India lightning deals

No only 27GL850 is released !
There is another option Dell 27 S2721DGF which uses same panel as LG with great build quality & 3 years warranty. It was listed for 72K INR (430 USD in US) so I complained to the support and now product listing is removed :) Hope to see it come back with proper pricing.

How has been the discounts on Apple products especially - iPad during Flipkart / Amazon sale (this season)?

Nothing special or worth waiting for? I'm trying to bag something like the iPad Air 3 for a cheaper price.

Sadly nope.

Dell USA listed it for 430 USD and sometimes sell it for as low as 380 USD , this indian pricing absolutely make no sense.
As long as there are going to be buyers. The sellers won't have any problem in listing these kind of items for absurd prices. All people are not that smart. Some are like low hanging fruits who are willing to provide that amount. So, once the seller get those low fruits then he decreases the price for people like you.
It basic rule of demand and supply.

I'm not sure if it's a mistake or not, if not, this is an awesome deal.
This headphone is 100 times better than M50X and usually costs double in India ( bought them in 2011/12)

Not sure how these differ from the HD-25 IIs that I've heard but they were comfy (YMMV) for long listening periods for electronic music, I did not test them out with games however.
At least in my experience cans that were aimed for either mixing/mastering/music/gaming didn't sound great when their roles were reversed.
Some people prefer monitors because they believe it presents the audio they way it was intended to be heard but it also makes the flaws in mixing more apparent and I personally don't like a flat sound signature.
I found the DT990 to be an all rounder for both games and music, they are more comfy, a bit more balanced, the emphasis on bass isn't as much as it is in gaming headphones and they are built like a tank although they don't come with a removable cable.
Most importantly they are open backed so I know when someone's at the door :p
Keep in mind you may or may not require an amp to drive them to your preference.

Guess the famed LG 22mp68vq will not retail for ₹6800 like last year.. !

lol,my monitor is a year old already. Has to be by far one of the best deals of that sales period. Absolutely great monitor for the price, except for one tiny thing. The black levels are a bit of a problem with this monitor out of the box. Had to do a bit of tuning with the "black stabilizer" setting for the colors and pictures to pop out more. Kept black level at low, black stabilizer and contrast at 70 to get my preference picture quality (Couldn't make out different tones of black before doing this). But other than that it's really good for 7K, and hopefully there should be some card deals in the sale for any of you who are interested.

How are these for normal listening or gaming?
To be honest, you will never find a similar headphone at this price.
They are not very comfortable ( compared to open back over ear headphones) but isolation is superb.
Most importantly, this is the headphone, where Sennheiser demonstrate they can very well lift their infamous veil ( and why they keep it)
The bass is plentiful and very very fast. The mids are typical Sennheiser. Highs are what makes them special. They are Grado like, extremely detailed but not very spacious. They are merciless with poorly recorded compressed music. But absolutely fantastic with well recorded and masteredstuff.I went through at least 50 headphones, and none can reproduce acoustic drums like this.
For heavy metal, classic rock these are GOD level.
Imagine a Grado with more midbass in a closed on-ear with fantastic isolation, that's how this is.
It's a lot better than than any AT M series, million times better than XM3 ( sonically it's an A tier headphone)
Yes, like most good Sennheiser cans, it scales well with amp, but can be driven adequately with modern smartphones.
I even used mine ( the 80ohm version II) with a clip plus years back with good result.
If you're only after sound quality, it just can't get better at this price. If you have a DJ friend, ask him/ her ( 90 percent DJs have/had them at some point) It's a true legend.

You will surely love them...and those will serve you for decades.
Mine survived a baby rottweiler and labrador's attack with just a minor crack on one ear cup ( but I need to recable them)
This headphone is a piece of history.
Congratulations!!

This is the only reason why I am interested. Frankly, I am someone who liked the dark, laid back veiled sound even before I had my HD650. So, you and the reviews saying that these sound just the opposite means usually, they aren't for me. But then you say that these are great for acoustic guitars and classic rock and that is what I listen to on most days. In fact, just discovered the genre of 'instrumental Rock' and listening to a lot of that these days.

Mine are in really bad shape, but still sound terrific. Yes, it is just opposite of typical Sennheiser sound. Instrumental rock (post rock etc.) sound brilliant. They are somewhat similar to DT990 in certain aspects, but lot more energetic and despite abundant treble and bass, vocals are not recessed at all.

Apparently these were on sale in June 2020 for $100(Sennheiser 75th Anniversary) instead of the $150 that they are usually sold at. The Indian sale price is around $120.
