AmazonBasics Fire TV "TV" shuts down automatically every 15 min or so (if I don't interact with it)

I have a 32 inch amazon basics brand FireTV "TV". If we are watching youtube, Jiohotstar etc on it, there is no issue. TV keeps working continously.
But if I am watching something on VLC player, the TV will shut off after around 15 - 20 minutes if I don't do any operation on the TV.
Hence, I have to, every 15 minutes, press play / pause (basically interact with TV) to make sure this doesn't happen.
This is NOT screensaver kicking in as I have already turned it off.
I have to try MX Player and see if the same issue happens but it seems the TV doesn't recognize that video is playing when it is on VLC player and hence it shuts itself off.

Is there any solution?

Is there a sleep mode or power saving mode on the TV? If you can give the model number I can check.

Does the TV get hot before shutting off? Can it turn back on immediately?

There is nothing. I checked everything. I am using VLC player and I checked that it doesn't have any sleep timer either.

Yes it turns back immediately but on homepage which means I have to start my jellyfin + vlc etc.

Same happens (no signal) with my fire stick 4k dongle on idle but my tv (non smart panasonic 32") does not turn off. Have not checked with something running on vlc. This is not a screen saver but some sort of power save where the stick just turns itself off/standby and gives no signal. My tv does not turn itself off with no signal automatically and has black screen for no signal. This tv is in an extra room, most of the time I don't know if my tv is on/off, have to look for small fading led (red off, green on). Sometimes the tv has been on for days. Now I make it a point to check every other day but that's just me at home checking.

Did some quick test some time back on another tv (vu smart 55"). The tv goes to power save with no signal. At least here the tv switches off. So still a pain to boot/turn on smart tv again. This smart tv does not require dongle/box.

Don't know how long this timer is. I have not been able to find a fix in my limited research.

A few hours before this post I swapped out my fire stick 4k dongle for a mi box 4k. This was the major reason.

I prefer the fire stick because its slightly smoother/faster and the tv controls (power and volume) on its remote. The mi box has some android native/internal volume control built in. I have multiple retro av connected to my non smart tv and when I switch inputs it is very annoying to have this double volume control.

Try with another media player like mx. Also try reinstalling vlc. It looks like the os is not recognising that vlc is playing media. It happens sometimes even on android phones.

As a last resort, you can try to factory reset the TV.
