amd athlon 3500+
amd athlon 3800+
amd X2 3800+

n wats the price of msi k8n neo 4 sli ??
is it ok board for running in sli board ??

X2 3800+ will be better ...

but in some apps(ie games not dual core enabled) 3500 and 3800 will be faster than the X2 .... but u can OC the X2 3800+

so i would like to play latest games at medium/high resolutions!!

A 3800+ is definitely the way to go, some games are not dual core optimised yet, but in the future almost everything will be. MSI K8N neo 4 is a very good board. Considering that you just asked "how to overclock" I would not recommend a DFI, but do take a look at what Asus has to offer.

Yeah get the opty 165/170. And don't go for dfi just yet, as the settings can get confusing for n00bs..

for graphics I recommend an X1800XT/7800GT...for high res gaming yeah.. minimum these days after fear and ES4..

2 GB RAM, and you'll need a decent 500W PSU from antec or something..For 24 hours non stop you better have an a/c on all the time.. one isolated 24 hr period is OK
