How much do these retail for in India? Over here, they retail for about £95, and the 146s for about £140ish. Earlier, the 146s cost under £110, but the retailers hiked up the prices after seeing the overclockability :@

On eBay, its even worse!! New 146s are being advertised for £160!! I got my 146 for £132 of eBay about 2-3 weeks ago :)
 
Stormy, u sure that its a 146 ? All I can come up with on Google is Opty 246 with the CAATC. Also, u sure that it has 6 chars after the 0410 ?

And I agree with Sandy. CAATC's seem to be Clawhammers.

yeah must be 256 and CAATC is also there in 754 :S
 
If anyone comes across a CABYE or even a CABNE(053..)opty144 in mumbai..pls inform us all...

This is the Queries thread as separated from the OC Thread as suggested by u yesterday. So, as KITT was the first one to post a query, his obviously becomes the first post under this thread.

@Stormy, I don't think there are Opty 146's in Skt.940. So it must be a Opty 246.
 
What is the difference between a 144 and a 146?? Is it only the clock speed( of 1.8ghz vs 2.0 ghz) or is there something else??

yeah only the clock speed nothing else
 
I would probably be able to send Opteron 144s to India for less than Rs. 10k shipped (5 days) and fully insured, but alas, payment would be an issue :(
