CPU/Mobo AMD Phenom II 555 BE Unlocked

I recently unlocked my 555 BE and thought I might share it with you guys. :ohyeah:

Processor Batch Number: 1003EPMW

Motherboard: Biostar TA785GE 128m

These are the settings I did:-

1) Flashed modded BIOS off here

2) Changed HT-Link Speed to 1.6 GHz

3) Changed CPU VCore to +0.6V (I don't know if it was necessary or not, just did it anyway)

4) Turned on ACC all cores ON and set the Value to -2%

There wasn't a visible change in fps while playing games but I noticed that the PC now takes somewhat less time to boot up and shut down.

Except the BSOD I got yesterday while playing Avatar, the system's been stable. I couldn't ascertain whether the BSOD was because of the CPU overheating or GPU. During load the temperatures stay around 50C.

Notes: I would recommend the 555 BE for day to day work as there isn't a lot of softwares and stuff that'd warrant the need of buying a true quad core.

You may check here, which motherboard would be right for you for unlocking.

try without upping volts, if possible buy a third party cooler like cm hyper tx3 for 1.1K and do stress testing with something like prime95 to make sure that it's stable unlock.
 
You should be able to do much, much better than that. I'm running a 550BE from a bad batch and I can run three cores stable at 3.7GHz all day without missing a heartbeat (fourth core is unstable even @stock) - with just a 0.1V increase in vCore.

And this is on a Gigabyte 790X DDR2 board and a TX750. GPU is a 4870X2.
 
My B50 usually went to around 64c on stock cooler days and above that it became unstable, and that was at 3.6 Ghz.

You can surely go upto 3.4Ghz on stock voltage, or slightly hi voltage like 1.32v. 1.488 vcore it too high, and thats what making it hot like 50c.

try 3.4Ghz at 1.32v ~1.34v.

Also try some benchmarks, like everest ultimate at X2 and X4. Except for emory benchmarks, the score is alomost double that of X2. Also try sisoft sanrda and 3DM Vantage, and check cpu score.You would be blown away by the performance of a 5k proccy :D
 
OMG o.06V??? Dude, 1.45V is the wall, the HIGHEST recommended VCORE while using Phenom II on ordinary cooling..

PLEASE reduce the VCORE< unless u wanna say good bye to this baby before it's time..
 
Congrats on a successfull unlocking ! But vcore volts are to high for stock speed, try running at stock volts & test the stability with OCCT , Prime or everest cpu stability test for at least an hour, if it is unstable then slowly pump some more volts,

Between my unlocked phenom 2 B 555 does 3.8Ghz@1.45, 3.6Ghz@ 1.39,
3.2 @stock v cores. so you can definitely reduce the vcore for default clock speeds.

Guys, my apologies for not replying back sooner, my Boards are going on right now. ^^;

The system runs fine without any additional Volatage via VCore and is also is about 15C cooler.

Some more figures:-

Processor temperature without ACC on:- 20-25C
Processor with ACC on:- 25-35C
Processor with ACC on+ .6v- 40-50C

I'll be doing some stability testing with Prime95 and a bunch of other softwares soon. :)
