im getting frequent BSOD on x2 550 + Biostar 790GX A2 + Win7.

Anyone have the same issue?

( i get this once a day even im using the default bios with no unlocking)

whats the roor displayed in BSOD?

if it jst flashes for a sec, and restartes

go to computer properties > advanced system setings > startup and recovery > settings> and uncheck "automatically restart"

now u ll be able to see the BSOD w/o getting automatically restarting.

and plz post the error displayed.

thanks yaar.

it wont restart automatically.. it will just stay at the bsod screen.

i didnt recollect what error it was. any way, ill post it next time it happens.

oh akshay.....will let u know.....waiting for my TA785GE 128m.....thankx for the help regarding a785ge...ow oh god??????

masterBrain looks like you need to correct your RAM voltage and timings manually rather than relying on auto feature set by BIOS.

Try it :)

so will be getting my ta785ge mobo 2maro......any suggestion about the bios version that should i use?

guyz.....

i got a phenom II 550BE cpu

biostar ta785ge 128m mobo

2x2GB corsair xms2@800mhz...

i do wanna know about the procedures for unlocking the cores

which bios should i use?

am unlocking this wit the stock cooler...

is there any risk in using the modded bios for ulocking?

its safe yaar. go for the moded ones. but make sure ur system dun turn off due to reasons like powerfailures, and other mishaps while flashing. and it takes less than 1 minute.

got ma rig

phenom II 550BE cpu

biostar ta785ge 128m mobo

2x2GB corsair xms2@800mhz...dual channel

coolermaster 350plus

1.kept bios to default

2.flashed using bios version moded 88GCO720.CET

3.acc se to auto

4.all cores +2%

5.set ht to 1600mhz from the T tab using manual oc

6.reboot

i cant boot into windows 7 ultimate x64....restarting before completing the animated windows 7 logo

what should i do?

i got the same error while installing the os,when i removed one dimm ....its ok

dOm1naTOr,blufox,n all geeks help.....

you cant set +2% after setting ACC = Auto... that option works only if you select ACC = All Cores

i prefer Auto mode.

do memtest86+ (integrated mee test option in mobo)

try increasing the values for each cores indipendantly. Heard some of those who were unsuccessful for x4 unlocks, were able to do x3 unlock with independent ACC values on each core.

Also pump bit more voltage to vcore, like 1.35v. if fine, try lowering it by small values and do stability test untill u find the sweet spot.

I tried unlocking
phenom II 550BE cpu [0919 EMPW]
biostar ta785ge 128m mobo

1st try
1.kept bios to default
2.flashed using bios version moded 88GCO720.CET
3.acc se to auto
4.all cores auto
6.reboot

2nd try

3.acc se to auto
4.all cores -2%
5.set ht to 1600mhz from the T tab using manual oc
6.increase voltage 1 step +0.05
6.reboot

Bios Cant Post on both try

Any suggestions???

Hey guys I'm new and I am having some problems unlocking my Phenom II X2 550BE

I'm using the Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H Motherboard. I already tried bios F1 and F3

Here is what I Tried

Attempt #1: Enable ACC, Enable Hybrid in EC Firmware, Set All Cores Auto
Result: No Post, CPU fan on full blast

Attempt #2: Enable ACC, Enable Hybrid in EC Firmware, Set All Cores Auto Set Vcore to 1.425V
Result: No Post, CPU fan on full blast

Attempt #3: Enable ACC, Enable Hybride in EC Firmware, All Cores +12%, VCore to 1.45V
Result: No Post, CPU fan on full blast

Attempt #4: Enable ACC, Enable Hybride in EC Firmware, All Cores -12%, VCore to auto
Result: No Post, CPU Fan on full blast

This all happened with the F1 Firmware (which is the oldest)
The F3 firmware is a bit different, it won't post the first time with ACC and Hybrid enabled, but the second time it will but it the BIOS automatically loads default settings (ie ACC and hybrid are disabled)

Any thoughts or suggestions?

you should have sucess with F1 bios on that board if your processor is at all unlockable...

set ACC = Auto

HT = 1.6GHz

try and report back.
