this is for the cool and quiet technology nah??

i have the previous version installed... but dont use C&Q .. is it needed??
 
@thexfactor : It wont have any effect, unless you have Cool n Quiet enabled in your BIOS settings. In that case Cool n Quiet will start working in conjunction with your overclocked settings - in some cases it might work, in others it might get unstable.
 
No. Its not for overclocking. Its basically for power management.

You wont need it if you are using single core cpu with cool and quiet disabled.

But on Dual core AMD even withour C&C you need this driver to ensure proper functionality of processor. Otherwise many applications face issues with dual core processors.
 
Ok .. tried it ... lol .. quite ok ...

*NOTE* Is it necessary to uninstall the previous drivers first ??? Though the driver is properly updated , up'n'running eithout problems .. just wanna know this ...
 
I think i'll give it a shot cos lots of applications are giving me problems with my x2.Even CSS gives more fps if i set hl2.exe to use only one core :S
