AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB Unleashed: Flagship Navi 31 XTX “RDNA 3” Chiplet GPU, 70% Faster Than 6950 XT For $999 US

TBH in INDIA if anyone even thinks about getting such expensive GPUs then these people would have no issues getting 4090 itself as their source of income would allow them to just wait for next month's salary or through EMI. There really is no reason to get a 4080 or AMD counterpart. would be a different issue if these were sold at 80K.

even so the difference the difference is of 50k, I would definately think about the same as 4090 is 1.6L and this is 1.06L :P

again i'm not talking about people with budget. someone dropping one lac in just GPU itself would want to run everything on max (including RT). 4090 even though very pricy is on an entirely different level and due to poor amd offering now it seems to justify its price.

yea got the point but I am also refereeing to the same. I still remember RTX 3090 was sold at 1.5L to 1.7L at launch for 3rd party. before crypto boom. so 4090 at 1.6L is not a big deal. but that power draw is something really something which should not exist. The only problem with 4090 is the power draw for the performance.

true the power draw seems huge, but the card can be easily be undervolted while retaining same level of performance. also not like anyone is playing everyday for bunch of hours, they would mostly get time during weekends or just couple hours each day as they also have to work, it might not effect their electricity bill that much. well someone dropping a LAC isn't quite worried about their electricity bill.

Don't say that  I play daily after work :arghh: on 6800XT I have a bill over 3k monthly. now just calculate it for RTX 4090 :P

you missing the point man, PC gaming is a hobby and anyone dropping lacs into just GPU clearly has a good source of income. if someone saved for entire year just to buy one such gpu then it could be a concern but that's just an improper decision IMO but such people are very minority.

The jump in performance from 3090ti to 4090 especially for dedicated work areas that utilize the full potential or at least majority of it is simply astonishing,so things like power draw take a back seat IMHO.

looks like the problem is widespread.. maybe people could use a liquid cooling block if they dont want a refund.
this problem could further drive up prices in the short-run or till december next year maybe give how covid has flared up in China

AMD yet to announce official call back or publish press note regarding defective vapor chamber or whatever could be issue with Reference Navi 3 GPUs.
It's been months without official press note. Yes there are some random acceptance in random media events/reddit posts, but it's not official unless they publish.
They are happy to reject RMAs until that.
