amp/sound card for pc, for Etymotic hf5 iem

just got the package recently, I earlier had one fiio e5 but lost it somewhere.. though didnt used it much, I am thinking of getting a pc amp/sound card so that i do not have to charge batteries and it will eliminate the chance of misplacing it.

Better to go for an external DAC like Audinst MX1. I remember chaos liking MX1 with MC5. If MC5 can work well, HF5 should sound much better.

You can buy from #[member='PristineNote'] (See here) with local warranty or directly from Audinst on eBay.

Ask #[member='Chaos'] about the performance before deciding. I've not used MX1, so not sure about how much driving power it has. If you are going to be using it with anything other than HF5, that's one thing to get cleared about up front.
