~ Dettol antiseptic 100 ml Rs 20 = Rs 200 per litre (Dettol 100ml Rs 17)
~ Radiator coolant 500 ml Rs 160 = Rs 320 per litre
~ Pantene hair conditioner 400 ml Rs 165 = Rs 412.50 per litre (Pantene 200ml Rs 125)
~ Medicinal mouthwash like Listerine 100 ml Rs 45 = Rs 450 per litre (Listerine 85ml Rs 40)
~ Red Bull 150 ml can: Rs 75 = Rs 500 per litre
~ Corex cough syrup 100 ml Rs 57 = Rs 570 per litre (Corex 100 ml Rs 59.50)
~ Evian water 500 ml Rs 330 = Rs 660 per liter (Rs 660 for a litre of water! (What on earth have we come to?) And the buyers don't even know the source (Evian spelled backwards is Naive!)
~ Kores whiteout 15 ml Rs 15 = Rs 1,000 per litre (approximately)
~ Cup of coffee at any decent business hotel 150 ml Rs 175 = Rs 1,167 per litre
~ Old Spice after shave lotion 100 ml Rs 175 = Rs 1,750 per litre
~ Pure almond oil 25 ml Rs 68 = Rs 2,720 per litre

HP deskjet colour ink cartridge 21 ml Rs 1,900 = Rs 90,476 per litre! Now you know why computer printers are so cheap? So they have you hooked for the ink! (The dealer that we talked to said a 21 ml HP deskjet colour ink cartridge should not cost more than Rs 1,000 -- costly nevertheless).
So, the next time you're at the pump, don't curse our honourable petroleum minister (his name is Murli Deora by the way) just be glad your car doesn't run on cough syrup, after shave, coffee, or God forbid, printer ink!
 
You dont use up 1 litre of pantene or old spice everyday :| petrol or diesel, yes you do.

The only two things in there which you may use in volumetrically comparable quantities are Coke and Water

Prices for both of them in the list are overly inflated

Coke 2L bottle - 50/- - 25 per liter

Water - 25L can of Kinley - 55/- 2.20 per liter
 
Yup rather lame mail. I don't need 40-50 liters of printer ink in one go either :P. (Thats my petrol bill every time I visit the bunk). Nor does one need so much after shave or red bull or anything else for that matter. Fact of the matter is petrol prices in India are way over the top. One can understand the cost of diesel which isn't too bad but petrol prices are just completely lame thanks to retarded taxes. Everywhere else in the world diesel costs more than petrol.

Extracting oil is pretty expensive :P making shampoo is easy and cheap :P

But then to sell shampoo's, you have to make expensive ad's with beautiful chicks exposing most of their bodies (other than the vitals of course) :tongue:

Diesel is costlier in the GULF as well
 
Its a weird mail ... A car in one go needs 10 litres minimum ... and in a month .. easily 40 - 60 litres approx ... that comes to 2000 - 3000 per month .. MIN

And in 6 months .. I need just one printer cartridge ... that is 1000 in 6 months or even a year ...

Consider the Volumes in use ... this mail doesn't make any sense ....
 
i think u ppl shd think this way...suppose their is no petrol,diesel in this world and car runs on ya same stuff cough syrup etc etc....btw its still lame.....if that would had been the case more companies would had been ard to reduce the cost......but its just out of box thinking.....what if that happens and all..
