And now its Amazon India, scamming customers

new event unfolded

Companies like Flipkart, Amazon must do retrospection at the top level.
Blaming everything on "seller" is not going to work anymore.

As as the indian economy is going in downward spiral, people of lower section of society will do anything to bring food to their family, even its robbery.
Had a similar experience but with a webcam. Seller sent me a table lamp instead of the camera and amazon first issued a replacement but the delivery guy wanted the camera as a replacement, refusing the lamp. Later on, after talking to amazon customer care, I was able to initiate a no-verification return and get my money back. This happened during the sale.

When I called up Amazon CC they told that this might have happened due to wrong scanning. I don't know whatever that means. They did confirm that if I don't get it by Saturday they will issue a refund.
They have issued a refund now. The CC told that the delivery has not happened due to wrong scanning as the product has gone to some other place.

When this happens it's extremely difficult. The courier boy expects the original product. I once got a lightning cable instead of a battery bank. Around 10 pickups were initiated. Out of which: 7 times the Delhivery agent (worst courier company in India) did not turn up, and would close the pick up "customer refused". After a month, even Amazon was helpless. They gave me a full refund, and let me keep the cable too.

Tail wagging the dog.

I second that
I have been a prime member since day one at Amazon and its been 11 years
My experience has been that amazon is utterly professional...
Its those cheap courier guys not really the courier companies who are the real culprits.
Committing frauds like opening packages, replacing items, not delivering in time, showing delivered, not delivering at all, are all done by these courier individuals or employees...

I would still root for Amazon, they are really Utterly professional as long as the buyer is not trying to trick them....

I would advise all to make a video of the delivery and unboxing at the same time, just like how we do for our stuff that we buy via TE or other forums.
Never been a prime member yet I would concur with you

Now, cheap courier is down to the seller. Some sellers try to undercut others and you get what you paid for.

There was one courier where you had to go to their office as they did not have any couriers to deliver. Did not get any notification that the parcel reached their office until I contacted the seller. Called TPC, 'The professional couriers'

Are you sure its 375ml. On their Site it mentions 290ml.
On Amazon India Site it mentions as 290ml on item name display, but below in options it says 375ml (Pack of 1). This is incorrect product info on their site.
This is however clarified in Product Information where it is clearly mentioned Net Quantity : 290 millilitre

This is clearly incorrect Info mentioned on Amazon India site. This is non-returnable item too. Their own site sells for less with additional payment discounts.
Its clearly overpriced if its really 290ml.
Time to accept the loss and move on

yeah man this sucks. I too had to literally fight with customer service to get a no verification pickup.

Recently bought a tripod Projector screen from Amazon. It was a 100 inches screen and very big. After installing it I found that the tripod stand was not good enough to take the weight of the screen. The screen itself was good but had to return it due to the poor constructed tripod stand. Now the return pickup has been rescheduled for seven times as this projector screen is very heavy and is ten feet tall when packed. Inspite of letting the Amazon CS know about the dimension of the return item, the pickup person always comes in a two wheeler and unable to pickup the item. Now the item has again been rescheduled for pickup on 29th Nov. They have a very poor communication with their own logistics as I have several times emphasized that they need a pickup truck to move this product. I have now tweeted them to get the attention and have asked them to refund the money if they are not able to communicate properly with their logistics team. Keeping fingers crossed that the pickup happens on 29th Nov.

Did anyone face issues like this for return pickup with big dimension products from Amazon?

its a common issue for non large appliance items with bigger dimensions

In your dreams... They will tell you to keep it after the last day passes as they cannot initiate the return process after that

Ok.

This has happened to me, but not such a high value item. Amazon let me keep the article (USB cable), which they could not pick up, and refunded me the money for a battery bank. Incorrect delivery. This is what I was saying.

yes happened to me too but for me it was 3-4 years ago when actually amazon had an existing customer care and wanted to keep customers happy....now their standards are pathetic

All of this is just IMO...ymmv

The value of this item is 4.5K. For small value returns they do not ask any questions if it is picked up or not, they just refund if it is not picked up. However, I will not leave them and let me see how far they will go on this. I have already escalated it on twitter but they have a standard reply that they are looking into this. I'm sure they will refund at sometime and I have also asked them to refund it as Amazon pay balance if they are not able to refund to bank account.

So the saga seems to continue for the 12th time the pickup guy again came in a two wheeler and went off after seeing the product is too big to carry in a bike. Absolute morons right from the CS team to the pickup team does not have any kind of coordination. Now they have turned me to their Social media team after I went and complained in twitter. The social media team is useless and they reply like bots.
Seems like this will go on forever...

At last after more than 45 days Amazon refunded the amount. They have not yet taken the product back and they have scheduled a new date for pickup but they have given the refund. I'm now skeptical to buy heavy and bigger dimension items from Amazon as if return is initiated there is no coordination from their pickup team especially if it is bigger dimension item.
