Earlier in April, Google had accidentally leaked screenshots of the Android Dialer via Twitter. Now the new dialer 1.1 has become official in the Android 4.4.3 update that reveals that Google is sticking to a light colors.

As per the image, the dialer has chucked out its black and blue scheme from Android 4.4.2. The new dialer boasts of a white, blue and grey colour scheme. The action bar at the top of the interface is now blue, whereas it was grey in previous versions of the app. Also, contacts which have no image assigned to them are replaced with green colour from grey.

However, main screen in the dialer still lists your favorite contacts and puts the most recent call at the top. The dial pad has also been changed and now bears a white background with light blue numbers while the earlier version had black dialpad with blue numbers.

Finally, it looks like Google has added tweaks to the call history button by adding another button at right hand side that gives call details instead of directly connecting a call. Earlier today, Google released factory images and binaries for both the WiFi and Cellular versions of Nexus tablets and smartphones.

Google Play edition devices getting Android 4.4.3 OTA update
In addition to the Nexus devices, Google has also started rolling out Android 4.4.3 OTA update for Google Play edition devices. The update is currently live for HTC One (M7) GPe, Samsung Galaxy S4 GPe, HTC One (M8) GPe and Sony Z Ultra GPe. Other GPe devices are expected to get the update over the next few days.
As always, you will get a notification on your Google Play edition device once the update is available for you. As software updates are released in batches, it might take some time to reach your device. You can also manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone/ Tablet > Software update > Check Now.

According to Google, the Android 4.4.3 update includes stability improvements and bug-fixes.

To remind you, Android 4.4.3 was
originally released on June 2 and apart from GPe devices, the update has just been rolled-out to Nexus devices (many users are still waiting for OTA) and T-Mobile Moto X users.

Got my 4.4.3 update for Nexus 5.

The only change in the front end is the dialer. Apart from that everything else looks under the hood.
