no news on when it would be available to 'old' devices like the Nexus 4 :(

Sigh..my Nexus 4 feels so old right now :( :(
 
Nah! I don't think they'll push 4.4 to N4 the day they announce N5..I was hoping to get the update by next weekend...
 
I have the new Hangouts app. Will post my thoughts once I use it a bit. Too bad it has separate threads for Hangout chats and SMS.[DOUBLEPOST=1383284419][/DOUBLEPOST]Just flashed an unofficial build of KitKat too. Time to play.

tried Kitkat today on my Nexus4
as of now haven't found significant difference from jellybean
somehow I didn't like the new Dailer (takes couple of clicks to view call logs and contacts)

Loved the Nav bar and status bar transparency.. its pretty cool (you can now set a fill screen wallpaper along with zoom in & out)

SMS integration with hangout is also nice.

The new Dialer is actually really nice, once you get used to it. I'm using the Nexus 5 port so it has the new smart Dialing feature and it's excellent. I type "Pizza" and I get a list of Pizza places nearby. I expected this to have some sort of lag to it, but there isn't. It shows up instantly. I'm amazed.[DOUBLEPOST=1383440749][/DOUBLEPOST]Hmm been playing with the new experimental ART virtual machine that's been introduced in KitKat. All I'll say is if this works as intended, Google have discovered a way to put all the Android lag sentiments to rest. I'm talking iOS / Windows level smoothness here.

I had read somewhere that the Note 2 will skip the 4.3 update altogether and directly get the Kitkat. Is that true?
