A good deal. But be wary if it goes kaput, he is in the soup. So discuss this with him and the dealer; inquire what went wrong with the phone initially.

What makes you say so, my SONY XPERIA go runs it seamlessly, the U and Sola pack the same hardware, the XPERIA P even better (hardware-wise) so how can you prove this point.

Also, the phones allow him a lot more than an iPod which cannot be much use apart from Temple Run (and other games), using iTunes (to convert a FLAC library --> MP3) and watching videos (.MOV OR .MP4 only).

Hmm I was referring to the Android interface and not the game itself! The game might be working fine for you but I was able to spot lags in Temple Run on my cousin's Xperia U and also the stock android navigation lags(with the live wallpaper) so unless it's loaded with a finetuned ROM, high-end specs and all, all stock androids will lag I'm referring to versions below ICS. I dont know about JB but heard good things about it

would he be happy with the screen size? If he is to spend 22k then I would suggest he buy the Galaxy Nexus I9250.

Don't know, I never experienced lag on my device (whilst Temple Run). But I will not discredit you; the ICS udate has slowed down navigation but overall usability is UP, UP and UP.

Tell your brother to get Root Browser / Root Explorer (lite versions will do) and he can boot applications like fb and twitter feeds if he is not using them.
