My main usage is 3g wifi tethering with good battery life and dual sim slots. I am not concerned with any other feature. Thanks a lot.

Go for this then if it's going to be used (read: abused) a lot, cause you at least have a decent after sales service.

in Dual SIM , the cheapest you can get is a galaxy Y or Galaxy Music duos is also available for under 5k from indiatimes..

If you are fine with single sim, Huawei Ascend Y100 is just 3k and even lower using coupons .. it has 3G also and the chipset is also very good for a 3k phone .. you can see Y200 also if u want better battery..

Thanks for Ascend y100 suggestion. I got this for 2.8k and it looks awesome and supports 3g wifi tethering.
. post a small user review with pics if possible , will help others tejinderss

Sure i will. The only one thing that i find missing in this phone is proximity sensor. Although it says that proximity sensor is present on ebay but on huawei official site there is no such mention. Some may find this an annoyance but in my case its not a big deal.
