Android? What?.. (An hour later).. I want one too!!

After playing around with my HTC Legend, my friend wants an "Android" too.
She wants to sell the Aino and buy a new phone in the range of 16-18K.

4 Month old Aino, mint condition, local dealer offered 13K for it.

Features needed - Android!!
Brands preferred - HTC

Condition - Used or New (I hope this can be considered as a WTB too and I don't have to create one separately)

Possible Candidates:

Hero
Spica
Tattoo
Used Legend?

13k for Aino is very poor. Im getting a 14k quote for my 8 month old Aino. Get another quote and most importantly dont forget to mention the bt headset which should bump up the price a lil bit .....

As for your budget you have-
LG GW620 14.5k
Sony Ericsson X10 Mini 15k
Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro 17.5k
HTC Tattoo 14k

Galaxy and Galaxy Spica are near impossible to find right now. Best option IMO is the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini, she'll definetly love it. If she has trouble typing with the screen then she can opt for the slightly more expensive X10 Mini PRO. Avoid the Tattoo ....

Wildfire's display resolution is a big deal breaker. if it's for a lady, SE X10 Mini would be a perfect match. It's cute, aino like design, fast and girly! just that it doesn't have onscreen qwerty (need to go for x10 mini pro for qwerty) :)

The OP is looking for a ANDROID handset and Wave has Bada os:bleh:
In that price range SE X10 Mini fits the bill and it also looks good which is a very important factor for girls while buying a phone:ohyeah:

Saw the X10mini, my friend didnt quite like it, I didnt either, its too tiny and my local dealer said a lot of the android apps will not work on the phone because of the tiny screen.

How about the HTC Hero? Its pretty much the same as the Legend right (except for the AMOLED and the faster processor?)

Is the HTC Hero selling in India? And for how much?

Did you notice any apps on the market that say they are not compatible with your phone? I heard from quite a few sources that there is a limitation on the number of apps available for the phone.
