Yesterday, My pc celebreated christmas with fireworks for which the psu was held responsible. The setup was an old compaq oem. The mobo is dead.
As my annual exams are getting close, Dad is not allowing me to buy a new pc with some muscle. So I decided to give poor man's netbook a shot. Main usage is.
1.Net surfing
2.Casual gaming(cs 1.6, fifa 2008 etc)
3. Watching movies(non-HD)

By my analysis on forums I have seen many are going for the samsung N140/N138(whichever is the 250gig one without OS).
1.is it good?(Build quality)
2.Does it come in white color?
3.Can it run fifa 08?

Any other suggestions in the 15k range?
Budget is tight, might add 1k.

TIA,
Amit Mishra

It is highly unlikely that you will be able to play FIFA 2008 on a netbook. It will be a miracle if it is possible.

But you can do one thing. Take a demo copy of FIFA 2008 to the showroom and ask the salesmen to allow you to install it. Then you can try out for yourself and see if it is possible or not.
You can try this with a netbook of any friend too. Since all netbooks have the same processor and almost similar amount of RAM, if the game runs on your friend's machine, it will run on all other netbooks which have similar config.

^And what makes you think that remotely fits his budget? Did you even bother reading the title which for the record, clearly states a netbook?

@OP: I suggest you take a look at the Samsung N140.

Also if try asus N10J netbook with nvida ion...it was on sale by vijay sales few dyas back&listed at 18k..laos some member had posted its link...
