PC Peripherals Antec 300 or CM 590?? and Fans.

Hi guy,s

Am planning to go in for a new cabby and as per my budget have narroweed down to two of them: The ANtec 300 and the CM 590.

Personally after a lot of reading I am leaning towards the CM 590 as there seems to be betetr cable management options and a little more space. The Antec is also nice, with a good build and well thought out except for the cable management and the bottom mounted PSU not having any place to suck in air from. The 300 seems to have a good ariflow system in place btw.

SO what are your thoughts. BTW Antec 300 will only be available sometime next month, hopefully.

Also where can I get good quality 140 mm and 30/40 mm fans.
 
^^^What about the cable mgmt and also the problem of no port for bottom mounted PSU? There are absolutly no holes for stuffing the cables mehind the mobo try too. Thats my biggest worry...And I dont have a dremel..
 
IIRC, the 590 doesn't have a reset switch, if such a thing is important to you. However, it does have completely?? tool-less installation, which the Antec does not.

I also think (according to reviews) that the Antec is built somewhat sturdier than the CM 590. Other than that, take your pick.

I love the antec for the build quality and the fan setup. You don't get 140 mm fans here. The problem is the PSU does not have a inlet at the bottom and the cable management both of which the CM's have. That's my main issue.
 
^Not a big deal. You can have all the unnecessary cables routed close to the PSU itself. Besides you do have a modular PSU. With some cable ties, cable management could be a cakewalk. ;)
 
i always if given a choice want a dealer or manufacter who is there in India.... otherwise band bajta hai when things go bad...

CM590 currently using it .... i was battling between 590 & 690.... 690 is nice no doubt just size was way bigger so i preferred 590 and also had A lot of fan options.

as for fans i got those 4 combo deal of cooler master and they fit n work smooth. just have to chop of those damn leds :)

590 there is dealer in mumbai Acro engineering if u want can send his details...

bought 590 for around 3300-3400 last august
 
wow 3.4k is really really good, its around 3.8 in bangalore. Anyway can you post some pics of yoir cabby with the side panel open. thanks. I dont like the normal cm fans as they dont move much air. I know the other options are expensive. lets see.

Like I said, I am mainly worried abt the bottom hole for the psu and cable mgmt issues, specially since there is absolulty no holes near the psu mount to hide the wires behind the mobo tray. Will have to see if I can borrow a dremel from somewhere or something. Any idea where I cna buy one and what it costs? How is KMD's kit??

Nice case, thanks, saw the 590 at a shop a few days back and was really impressed with it. Looks a whole lot better than the pics suggest. Only thing was that the paint seemed to be a bit rough, is that how it is supposed to be or did the dealer just have a bad piece?

I think its goin to be this one. Antec just dont seem interested in the Indian market anyway.
 
i dont know when i last felt the need for reset switch.... usually my pc is one 24x7 one in a while update cozes it to restart n thats bout it...

paint is all rite ....... its matt finished........ rest tell us what rate you got quoted for?

Paint is quite good IMHO same as 690. I have it...And the coolest thing I find in 590 is the stacker feel which is not there in 690. You can configure it the way you like it....
