I don't understand why cabinets have at least three 5.25" bays. I mean how common is it for anyone to have more than two cd-drives?

One to tuck psu wires into- that's why 3.

There are some that have only 2 ODD bays too- google for those. :)

Eddy just an update: Friend wanty one! So make that 2 from my side.

I hope the dealer does not have a problem shipping to Surat with no change on the pricing front!

@Eddy saar: three for messa. Two friends building their haapees rigs. and me getting rid of the last generic cabby in da house (Circle). :)

any way @OP what have u decided on PSU.

I'm scrapping the PSU option since obviously there's not much interest for it and its not worth the hassle.

Trying to organise an easy method to get your orders through. Will update as soon as its done :)

I'm interested. Will this fit 4 hdds without having problems with space for cables etc? I don't understand why cabinets have at least three 5.25" bays. I mean how common is it for anyone to have more than two cd-drives?

Sorry but I haven't looked into the cabinet myself :ashamed:

Hopefully one of the others should be able to help you out with that.

Please check this internal, side pic>

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

Technically, the case is designed to fit 3x HDDs into the designated, dedicated HDD bay, with rubber grommets for vibration dampening. :)

Practically, you can fit 2 more in the floppy drive/3.5" bays.

So that makes it 5 over all.

Hyperactively, you can fit 3 more in the 3x ODD/5.25" bays with the help of adaptors. That makes it 8.

Cables issues- depends primarily on the mobo and psu used and maybe some other components. :)

Ideally, do not use more than 2 HDDs in this case, so that it leaves enough spacing between the 2.

If having smaller capacity drives, sell them off and shift to a bigger capacity one.

Sell off any IDE drives, if still in use and get SATA ones to reduce cable clutter. :)

^You get Rs.1 discount:lol:

btw, i have some pics of this cabinet with me, will post after sometime.

Few pics,

Comes with a 120mm tri cool for the exhaust, optional 80mm for intake in the front, so those who are looking to load this up with 4 HDDs have give another thought as the drives will not be cooled properly.

Scythe "Bay Rafter 3.5" in a 5.25" bay is perfect for this case.

provides a fitting opportunity for a fan with 80, 92 or 120 mm in size

Rs. 258~ via Amarbir. :)

Now uninstall 3.25" Bay and mod case, install 2 x 120MM in front, eg. CM 340-341

Note : CM 340, 341 r small case, less in depth + height, only accept mATX, NSK4400 will be lot more roomier after MOD. :hap2:

Hehe nice one there! Mind sharing source of the pics Sidhu? :)

The one posted above is certainly not the NSK4400 since it's an ATX enclosure! But that's a brilliant mod with no flaws nontheless. :O

Lol I might actually get dumb and dump the CM690 since I'd be going places henceforth. Its hard to lurk around the CM690. :|

I am interested in 1 piece. Shipping to be done to Shillong. You won't require any documents to ship it if you ship through a courier like DTDC. Only requires one declaration form which they fill themselves and you only need to sign it.

Waiting for the combo deal with the PSU. Hope we get some neat pricing :)

Mohit- Get a Zebronics pro 350 or that Gigabyte Superb 460 if you have a lil more to spend. :)

You missed this>
