Get a KIS 2010 license, which is fully compatible with Windows 7 and is one of the best security suite out there.
Ya, its not free but costs just 200 bucks per license. Its' cheap atleast, isn't it?

I am using Symantec Corporate Edition 10.2.276 with Windows 7 , its working fine never faced any issues and the virus definition updater also works.
