Any good First person or third person shooter available now???

Hello , need to fire guns and blow up things so any good first person (like CoD MW series) or third person (GTA4, Maxpayne like) games that are available now to rock on as my last game was Splinter Cell conviction, need to shoot down humans :Dand not aliens (Halo etc):bleh:

Tried Aliens Vs Predator and Alpha Protocol but those 2 really bored me :(

Playing Singularity now and its ok...;)
 
There are 2 superb game releasing this month ... but you have to wait

Mafia 2 - explore the empire bay like gta 4(International launch is on 27 august this month)

Kayne and lynch dog days -2 - I think its a action packed game will keep u busy till mafia 2 is releases(this is 20 of this month)

Hope you enjoy waiting...

Thanks a lot for ur suggestions guys, JC2 and BBC2 both already done :) have not played the Storm ones.. Desert Storm I, II and Global Storm will try them and when were they released?? the problem i find with the old ones is that now am not comfortable with the grpahics part after cing the likes of GTA4, CoDMW2 etc, for eg i played GTA San Andreas with my old card FX5200 but when i tried it with my previous card 8800GT with all graphics max i really wanted to stop playing it as it didnt excite me at all...

Thanks for the reminder, i knew Mafia2 launch date but not knew Kane and Lynch2 will be following it.... anyways guys where to buy Mafia2.. any preorder?? saw intencity and nexworld but no news about Mafia2 nor about Kane and Lynch
 
Have u played kane and lynch: dead man. It was awesome. Also try FEAR 2 and tom clancy's rainbow six vegas 2. They were few from the good shooting games. :D
 
Mass Effect 1 and 2. Both amazing games. I loved ME 2 especially the grand finale. Never played some thing like it.

Thanks:):) buy Kane and Lynch Dead Man (first of the series), FEAR, FEAR Extraction Point, FEAR2 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 are all done with my old 8800 GT itself:)

Liked Splinter Cell conviction a lot but not the previous sequels (Double Agent), i know i sound contrary to what others feel about the Splinter cell series as its a stealth shooter series:) but i need to quickly clean up things rather than silently moving like snail and killing the enemies:bleh::bleh:

I downloaded Mass Effect 2 demo but yet to try it so is it worth a buy??
 
Try Metro..... Or you can try Indigo Prophecy aka Farenheit . I know it is not the genre you have asked for. In fact this game doesn't belong to any genre. It has its own . If you want a amazing story, then this game is one you shouldn't miss.

ME 2 FTW.... The final mission is absolutely epic. And (curse you bioware) there is a teaser in the end.
 
you NEED to play Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood, its one of the best shooters i've played ever no doubt (On Top of my list along with Max Payne series, MW, MOHAA etc) ... Its THAT good.
 
Yea the final mission in ME2 is worth all the money you put for the game. Unforgettable experience. You would have never played something like it.
 
Return to castle Wolfenstein. That was pretty good FPS.

Max Payne 1 & 2 and Hitman series are good TPS games.

I especially like Hitman, where you have to build a strategy to kill your target and not kill everyone.
