Glad to know.
I am sort of confused whether to go for Lollipop or not... keep reading conflicted reviews about 5.0.1.
One mind says to wait for the new version.. while other says to update it. It's a possibility that I might not run into issues if I update, because I haven't really started using phone yet, and so, all should go fine, without any new apps installed, or any changes made to the phone.
It's a possibility that many people face the issues, because the update is done over the top of current OS, and also, there are many apps installed, one of which can create the problems.
Does anyone know, if I decided to update, and then ran into issues, and then decided to flash the original ROM again, will it violate the warranty? I am guessing, it will.
You guys must have read the news that Android 5.1 has arrived on the scene, and will be available on Android One, and also in phones in Indonesia. Waiting for official response from Google. Hope it arrives soon.
I had a question in mind, which I asked on XDA forums... wanted to know that, if I do not update to Lollipop 5.0.1, and instead decided to wait for a new update, will I get a notification for the new update, even if I have not performed the current 5.0.1 update?
Did not receive a confirmed answer for that. They said that even if the new version arrives, you still have to perform the previous update... means, it will be sequential.
That makes sense, and I do not have a problem with that. However, I wonder whether I will get notification about the new update when it comes, even if I do not update the current version.
Also, for those of you, who were interested in making the update notification go away, one or two methods have been described on XDA. Can provide you link, if you are interested.
