and then there is that "do not discuss mod/admin decisions in public" rule.

It's like being at work, where we are not supposed to talk about corporate policies :S

I own a Maruti Swift ,Presently I have installed INFINTY reference series on the rear and JBL component Speakers in the Front door. I Am very Much Satisfied with the performance of the infinty one, But the JBL is not up to the mark, so i wanna change it, my vendor is ready to replace for me, now i have the confusion, which one to select, go for INFINTY component in the front or the BLAUPUNKT VELOCITY series? my vendor also says there wont be much difference , coz the front speakers will have limited effects only.. it wont come as much as the rear oval one..... pls suggest guys, the infinty component is costing me 8.5k whereas velocity 8.9k , the present JBL one is 4.4k ... will it be worth spending 4k for it..?? pls suggest..
 
put in a pair of decent component speakers up front ,set the front/rear balance to favour the fronts( usually the rear coax's sound the loudest , since they have higher sensitivity) .

I cant imagine why you bought better speakers for the rear. Is it intended more for the rear seat passengers ? Yes, the Infinitys will sound a whole lot better than the the JBL's

You do have other options besides blaupunkt/jbl/infinity. illusion/Hertz/Bull all make some very good SQ component speakers. you might want to give them an audition as well. I have hertz , they cost some 5.7k for 5" comps.

You're getting 6 inchers right ? and for the kind of stuff you're getting, remember to get your front doors damped. Also, which HU/Amp do you have ?

HU is PIONEER DEH-P5050UB

Amp is JBL 2 channel
 
can you say how exactly the fronts are worse ? just the volume levels or something else ?

and what does the amp power, the front or rear speakers ?

and they are GTO series btw :P, and thats a crossover, not a small amp :)

the volume levels and also the effect...means u ll crystal like sound from rear and none such in front:@ :@ ..... its not GTO series, GTO was there for only rear oval , mine is GT5- series...
 
ah ok. The GT5 is THE CHEAPEST JBL speakers there are , so no wonder :P try listening to the other brands I mentioned previously . also check out the blaupunkt TH series. these are all SQ components. If that's not what you're looking for , kicker/polk/soundstream make some SPL stuff that you might like...
 
I do agree about the politics being into every nerve of team-bhp, but why to cry about the same each and every mod has his 100% dipped in his own ego. However internet is full of such forums, though team-bhp is the most talked about.

Ny Guys Selling these brand stuffs online?? coz i couldnt find these barnd here, even INFINITY i have to wait one week to get the stuff....also they charge bit more... :@ :@

but travelling that much distance for just speakers sound foolish right? I got a dealer from mumbai who's ready to ship items.. Let me see..
 
I'm from Tvm, got my stuff from ekm. no one in the smaller cities stocks ( or even gets these stuff on order). I know for a fact that hermit audio ( illusion ) and BBW ( Bull/rainbow/Image Dynamics) will courier the stuff to you :)
