25-30k Any phone with SD 8s Gen3 under 30k

Hello all,

Want to buy any phone with SD 8s Gen3 under 30k
Please give suggestions. Thanks.
I was seeing Iqoo Neo 10 R and I don't save anything on the phone permanently and that's why am eyeing 8GB/128GB but should I go for 8GB/256GB one instead just in case to be safe.
Also I will exchange my present Realme 11 Pro+ 8GB/256GB with the buying phone and pay the rest.
Also noticed that my present phone discharges the battery much quicker and I have to charge the battery multiple times. I previously bought a Samsung phone in 2019 used until 2023 but it did not discharge like Realme is doing but Samsung phone became sluggish over time. With Realme while opening the camera or taking pictures it lags a lot.
In 2018 I bought a Motorola One phone which display broke when it fell 3 feet down 3 steps and while I went for replacement they said it's physical damage and took 2k for replacement in 2019 and again it happened and I bought Samsung which was very good regarding its display quality.
I am a bit hesitant now whether to go with Realme or Samsung or Motorola?

I am gonna be that guy.

I highly recommend getting the iPhone 16e when it receives its first price drop, which is expected to be around ₹10,000 during the Flipkart sale days, bringing the actual price close to ₹50,000. This is an unbeatable value in the combined Apple and Android world.

The iPhone 16e features the same SoC as the latest iPhone 16, ensuring top-tier performance. You are guaranteed software updates for six years, along with security updates beyond that period. I would go as far as to say that you could use this phone for up to 10 years before needing a replacement.

At the five-year mark, you will need to replace the battery, that would keep it running smoothly for another five years. Let's assume the maximum cost for battery replacement from apple 10k. You would have get top-tier spigen tempered glass for 1K and a cover for 2K, even if you buy official charger for 2k your total price for owning the phone for next 10 years is 50+10+1+2+2 = 65K. Saving you money in the long run.

Thats 6.5k a year. Assuming you take good care of the phone and with little bit of luck on your side.

Check out this review, what more do you need.

iPhone 16e is tempting but I can't extend my budget to that much anyway.
How is Oneplus Nord 4 @ ₹28k or Oneplus 11 @ ₹34k. If I exchange my present phone by its value at 10k then both above phones will comes at 18k & 24k respectively. So which is best for my use case which is browsing, taking photos and videos occasionally . I need lag free browsing and photo taking until I upgrade some 3 years later.

OnePlus 11 is too old at this point. You won't be getting much updates.
The last time I checked Nord 4, I remember hearing that it had heating and battery drain issues, don't know if that is fixed now.
Nothing 3a has the lightest UI, and a decent processor, so you would have lag free experience.
You can also check Moto Edge 60 fusion.
But for both, I would say, wait 2-3 weeks more for long term reviews, so that you can know if there are any deal breakers.

I have used both of these. Under 30k if you are fine with flat screen and 7gen3 then go with nord 4. If you need curved screen then try 12R.
If you can increase your budget by a few thousand if you want flat screen and 8gen3 then go with 13R.

Don't get 11 or 11R. They are quite old now.
I would personally recommend 13R with exchange bonus currently running on oneplus store. Plus no cost emi.

Nothing CMF Phone 2 is going to be released in April and rumoured to have SD 7s Gen3. Should I wait for this then?
Because Poco F6 is indeed good but will have only 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of Security Updates due to it being released in 2024.
You might want to take a look at the performance difference

Yes truly said about OnePlus 13R but it's almost 43k and with my phone exchange it comes for 33k since it's almost flagship type phone it's justified but the same processor is in Poco F6 right.
I am thinking of going with either 8GB/256GB or 12GB/256GB of Poco F6. Does 8GB enough for the next 3 years or should I go with 12GB ram version?

Holy shit that much of a difference in performance?

12 GB is the minimum if you care about the larger AI models running locally as 8 GB won’t cut it.

At the end of the day, you need to decide your use case. Specs obsession is a common thing but unless you are obsessed with high frame rate gaming on a phone, it doesn’t matter much.

What Samsung phone are you using today?

We are all trying to keep up with the tech but it gets older way faster for us to keep-up.
I bought a Samsung FE 21 probably 1.5 or 2.5 Flipkart Big billion day sale ago & it is doing well for camera & daily usage.
It has a good SD proc but the ram is low on it.

Your daily usage is just the basics & a good camera, right?
iQoo is good but last I checked it was around 50k

It is now at 40k

I am using Realme 11 Pro+ 8GB/256GB bought in June, 2023 via EMi after exchanging my previous Samsung phone for 6k but initially it showed ,8k.
Flipkart changed after delivering and taking back the old phone and started deducting EMI accordingly but amazon does not do like this as they inform them and there the value and send a mail and start deducting from next month.

When comparing the phone you suggested to Poco F6 they have same processor right?

Here is Poco F6 now available at ₹23k
Take a look at this POCO F6 5G (Titanium, 256 GB) on Flipkart

I am sure someone around here did, remember reading it.

I personally have a poco x6 pro, a non SD variant, but Gupta systems info tore through it for durability & called it a biscuit phone in another comparison video.

Don't mean to digress, poco f6 may not be as durable as a Samsung or an iQoo even.

Also, poco phones suck on camera, not that Samsung doesn't, but not as much!

A TE member here is selling his Pixel 7 bought in 2023 for 18k. Does this phone at this price is good?

Price might be okay, but just get a new phone. You won't have to worry about battery. If you buy second hand and any problem comes later you are done, at least with new phone you have warranty.
Yes this is also right. If that phone battery goes kaput then I am done for. I won't be able to withstand my wifeys pestering & nagging. It will be hell for me.

13r has 8 gen3, poco f6 has "8s" gen3. They might sound similar but the different is about 40 to 60% in favor of the 8 gen3. Plus its more efficient.

Now I have owned Poco F6 for 6 months and its a great phone at the current price. I know people have said its camera is average but I think its better than most people expect. Xiaomi has done great optimization with the camera and in my experience it consistently produced better picture than a 12r and s20fe ( other phones that I had at the same time). The performance is great, the phone is light, bezels are slim, looks great from the front but the battery life is quite average especially compared to 12r or other recent phones with larger batteries and ltpo displays. But it still last you 1 day with 5-6 hr usage.
