Any subscribers to CHIP??

I dunno about others, but i prefer buying the mags from news-stand. Who can wait those extra days and expect that the mag would get delivered today mebbe tommorow ..ohh wait last month i recd the mag in second week. So i get the mags well in advance.hehe mostly digit and chip are out on 30-31. Dunno what chip is upto, this months issue i got it today on 8th of the month. Wonder when subscribers would get it.
Besides you can always opt out for an issue, if you dont like it. So indirectly its just the same. Digit probably gives those higher priced freebies as compared to CHIP but it comes to personal choice in the end.

well the delivery has not been a problem here in mumbai atleast.
Its available on or within couple of days of it being available on the news stand at my door.
Havent been too late. I subscribed bcoz that way i pay once and for all and also save considerable amount.
So i subscribed when i had some extra money.

... Haven't got chip yet.... Customer care guyz in chennai have no idea why i am not getting the issue on time after i call them they'll send me the issue.. Last month issue i got it without the DVD and CDs on 2nd Feb:S .@funky...
yeah i know most mags are mumbai based so...delivery in time is not a prob at mumbai. i am worried coz many ppl at CHIP forum complained abt receiving their issues on 30th and 31st of the month when ppl start expecting next month's issue.
anyways, i think i'll get the mag frm news stand for 2-3 months and watch the progress in this regard. once the complains get to minimum, i can think abt subscribing.

I am both a Digit and Chip Subscriber,Digit Since May 2005 Issue and Chip Since october 2005 Issue.Digit's Customer Service is useless. I sent the DD in March 2005 and it took them 2-1/2 months to process my subscription request.After much anxiety i wanted to know the fate of my DD sent in the business reply envelope and they gave me a written statement that they had not received my dd and hence i should stop it's payment.When i had done this at Mumbai Branch of IOB,i got a E mail informing me that my subscription had been processed as early as the 10th of March 2005 when the whole customer service team denied receiving my dd. The Next thing is in the Dec 2005 issue they went back on their commitment of giving the motocross and Terminator CD free to subcribers asking them to pay extra for dispatch costs.
I will not renew my subscription with Digit Again.News stand is much better.
Chip Subscription was much better and my subscription was processed very quickly since i sent the dd by registered post with AD, but since october the issues reach me only after the 7th and sometimes as late as 15th of the current month while as it comes in the newstand sharply on the 1st or at the most second. I only subscribed to chip because of 40% discount over the newstand price and the quality and standard of the magazine and mainly because of it's present editor Marco D Souza Whom i compare to as Bill gates in Hardware.
