dont know u GUYS appreciate the Phone so much

I 'm using the phone SE K750i over last 10 months & am having real serious drawbacks in the the following areas:-

1) Signal Receiption, very weak imo visa-vis Nokia(even "low"end ones)

2) Voice clarity of calls

3) External Speaker Volume very low( have 2 make manual adjustment in the GE settings turning every band 2 max) for a decent default Nokia-like external/speaker-volume

3) Hard 2 handle Joystick & many User problems

4) Phone hangs/freezes sometimes(have to detach/reattach the battery to restart again)

5) the LCD screen gets easily scratched

6) Finally yesterday, the camera-still+video camera got f****ed up & joystick is almost next to being non-responsive,so going 2 SISC for getting the things done & also have the F/w upgrade

Hope that helps,But overall apart from the OF-camera,SE does not have a SP in the K750i & IMHO,with its various prob,it cant b a cool-phone!

Morever, its time to move out of the 750 mould!

PS- The above problm r not just copied from any other cell-forums,rather they have been harrasing problem in my day-2-day life,as many other users of SE 750i might also find!

1,2,3,4 Gets fixed by updating to the latest firmware. Kindly post your firmware version. To find out which firmware revision your phone currently has installed, perform the following: (PS: Do this slowly)

>*<<*<* ( > = joystick pressed to the right and < = to the left)

After doing so you get to the service menu, check the firmware version and report back.

5) all fones have a tendency to get scratched.

Even 6 might get fixed with the firmware upgrade but i can't promise anything.

so many problems in K750i...dude u got a damaged piece get the phone replaced...

none of the people i know using the phone ever had the problem in signal reception or in voice clarity
even the external speaker is decent enough...

hey blade.. how do know which is my firmware version?? there are soo many big numbers!

also which is the latest firmware version?

Do those Many probs as quoted by Techie#1 really do worry a K750 user???

If tats the case then I would haveto search for another cell to buy.....

Also If I buy a new K750 then will it have the latest firmware....???

Use the method i mentioned above to get your firmware version. Afaik the latest version seems to be R1BC002. You can goto SE's site select region, click support, select fone model, and choose update service. Then connect the fone to the PC and flash to the latest firmware.

@knoughtyD...depends on the manufacturing date of the phone...if it was manufactured after the release of the latest firmware it would have the lastest firmware..

All SE fanboys can easily go appreciating their SE phones.......NO HARM in that......

...i am in NO WAY goin 2 contest any 1 's beliefs

,......but what.......i say is the FACT.........."HARD" REAL-WORLDTRUTH!

If U like SE as bcoz,it's a UNDERDOG in the CELL-PHONE world(till-now) or vice-versa,no one is going to deny ur likeables, but for me.REAL-WORLD functions & performances matter! No HARD-feelings 2 any1.if i stand aside that!

** For 1 thing DUDES- I DO KNOW what F/w version my 750i came along & ATLEAST know HOW 2 do/read that(from the phone)? (Hope u understand there r other dedicated tech-cell phone site apart TE).Do note-many other user had other problems even with newer K750i f/w installed,so ALL prob getting solved with f/w correction ONLY is still skeptical OMP

*** Also SE-Phones with JOYSTICK problem is NOT RANDOM,mayb just the opposite

**** ICE FUSION's statement of ME simply getting UNLUCKY with a Singular defective unit....& his observation of NONE of SE-K750i owner having similar problems........well well,It is only the MOST APPARENT reasoning one can make,as MYSELF had the same belief until I bought the PHONE & did REPLACE the unit/phone 2 times over(2 get the prob solved),but in VAIN.ASMOF,i got/bought the phone from SONYWORLD,Sony India's Exclusive Frabchisee Chain/Showroom,so they had limitations in replacements. If that was not the case,I would have replaced the phone with any other Phone/make/brand.........& would not have cribbed so long!

So that's my part of the Story.....whatever.............but if ur satisfied with ur own personal unit of ur K750i, feel at ur best,as long as u stay out of harm's way!

I only HOPE my a/c acts as a singular remainder b4 any1 purchases "any" hyped-up product

******* if any1 doubts the similarities of my claimed problem,do SURELY visit many dedicated SE-forums & portals(on the NET) & check the GENUINE customer feedback there-in & u then can SURELY get the REALITY-CHECK!!!

Bye

all the BEST.

hey,Nothin Becomes concrete if u say it in Caps................

u may be facin problems,But I tell u user experiences here that u get are much more genuine then any other SE forums.......

as far as "Se fanboy" is considered do u think that the 5th largest phone comapany in the world is worth rooting for, unless it makes some great phones....

and there are other members in the forums who have had K750i and think it is a great phone!

so it is sad that u r facin problems, but I hope the situ gets rectified

Hey Techie,

Can you pls tell us where are you from? and from where you purchase this phone?

Why don't you go with Consumer Forum and Suit Complaint about same against
SE to give you defective product?:@

ah...this is ironic isnt it.... if you would have been around the forum from some time ago..u would know tht i am the least out of a SE lover...i prefer Nokia... i aprreciate wht SE phones have in terms of Cam and Sound...

also u took my statement in a negative way...

wht i meant wasnt tht no 1 other has this problem...
i meant tht all these problems are in K750i, but all of them being in one phone at the same time is very rare...
thts y i said tht u have a defective piece...

It is adviseable to buy SE phones along with the bill. AFAIK, a large percentage of SE phones do suffer from joystick malfunction, in some cases even the camera buttons don't work. However, if you have a bill for it you can get all problems rectified free of cost from their service center.

Within 4 months of use, my SE 750i had a joystick malfunction, non-responsive camera, non-charging battery etc etc . However, as I had a bill for it, the service center people got it fixed for me. The only drawback was that they took nearly a month, as they were out of parts and had to wait for someone at SE to send it to them.
