Anyone has any idea about eBay's refund policy? Victim of an idiotic seller!

What was the dealer's name.

Yes make sure to send with a courier which has tamper proof packing/tracking like dtdc plus or something. Just so that the seller does not trick you.

Also get the courier guy to name the actual content of package in the recipt.

I would ask you to be double / triple sure about buying this. Else buy factory refurb. The factory refurb I got was more or less new. And it ends up cheap. So that is one option.

Thanks. Product shipped back via DTDC. Tracking details scanned and sent to eBay.
The idiot's eBay user ID is laptopzone52. Copy it everywhere so that you will never buy a cell phone from this bastard.

I know, I run a business, I know how long it should take for a refund :/

What's the big deal with 27k and used product? If it's in good condition then I will happily pay 27k for it! It's not about used, but how the condition of the product is!
 
OK, update time. Seller approved the refund. I guess they are good to deal with, and this was a one time hiccup happened on their part. Hoping they'll take care of such things in the future.
Just waiting for the monies to come back.

Its no hiccup. Thats what they have to say.
Recently had an issue with digi_cam seller for a Canon 50mm 1.8 prime lens. It had fungus in it. And he had 3 days to take action after which he was going on a vacation. he somehow convinced me to hold on to the lens till he is back. Fortunately I had raised a claim by then and after a week Ebay sent me a notification that they are closing the claim since I have not taken any action(shipped back the item to seller).
Again the same nonsense. They say they tried calling you but I did not get any call or miss call alert.
So I shipped it back with insured DTDC blue to Kolkatta and sent the scanned reciept to ebay. Even after that I had to follow up for more than a week for the refund.
Finally got the refund and the shipping charges.
I left the seller a -ve feedback and he called back to change the feedback. I refused saying that I had a horrible experience.
This time I was actually recording his call. Few years back I bought an 3G USB modem antenna and it was a fraud non working item. So I raised a claim to return it. The seller refused saying it works. I went ahead and left a -ve feedback and he called back and abused me on the phone. I DC the call and next time when he called I recorded and sent it to ebay. That seller was banned. So ebay gaurantee is a good way to keep seller in check. If ebay is able to control the market place THEN and ONLY THEN they will be in business else they will soon be news like green dust and shopclues or naaptol.
But its a torture to hold for long times waiting to get to an ebay CC executive. even if you have the single use pin from the website....[DOUBLEPOST=1401695802][/DOUBLEPOST]Yes first they give seller 72 hours to respond. After that they give more 48 hours. And only after that 5days they initiate the refund.
