Those who don't like to move their backsides, how do they buy grocery and heavy items like rice?
Do they buy it in extremely small quantities?
You can always order in large quantities and get it delivered to your house. Or take a vehicle to nearest mart and shop for a month at a time. I usually stock non perishable items like soap (both body and for clothes), toothpaste, toothbrush, cooking oil, etc for a month or two. You get more discounts on such items too if you get from a mart or oil store. The nearby kiranawala people don't even give 1 rupee discount when buying such large quantity. You can easily save around 100+ rupees buying in bulk. Rice can be bought in 10kg packs. No difference in pricing between 5/10/25 kg packs of rice. At most just 5-10 rupee can be saved buying 25kg pack. You need to put boric powder in rice if you buy the 25kg pack since it harbours those tiny insects after few months.

Oh I am willing to get my backside up and running for necessities/essentials!
As for groceries, the neighborhood kirana still does the trick for me. Apart from toiletries, we don't stock up on anything. Buying grains and other groceries, that's a biweekly/fortnightly affair!
