Anyone Run Crysis on 4850?

Hi,

I was going to get Crysis but before that I need to If it would even be playable with my XFX 512 mb 4850 at 1440x900 with max setting w/o AA and AF.Anyone tried ?

It hags a little on All Full settings but lowering few of them works like charm. I used to game on 1440x900 using 4850, without any hiccups.

yes even i am using a palit hd4850 at 1440X900 and at all HIGH with no AA it gives me 26 to 45 fps.. so its playable go ahead & buy Crysis, actually the name should have been CRYSIS FOR REQUIREMENTS... lolz

You should be okay at 1440x900 High with Shadows on Low no AA 16x AF

btw unlike some other games, Crysis stays playable even at 15~20FPS. Meaning to say, you will not find it a pain to play that FPS.

i finished Warhead and im playing Crysis right now.

played/playing of HIGH settings with no AA @ 1680x1050

im totally happy with it...its simply great ..jst few lags here and there(very little though).

jst go ahead and play it..you will be more than satisfied.

i got an avg. of 34.69 FPS with the benchmark

My HD4870 can run Crysis with everything at Very High + 2xAA @ 1920x1080 and still give 26-30 FPS. I haven't tried any heavy scenes like the end battle or anything. But that scene has problem mainly due to memory leaks ( I got 4GB+ memory usage during that level)

Warhead skips a few times. Have to lower the AA in that.

^^ at what resolution dude? If its 1440*900 than at very high settings it will definately lag a lot.

i played it at very high, everythin maxed 8X AF and 4X AA on 1280*960.

And yup, the memory usage almost touched the roof [3GB] even at that resolution. I think you will be needing 4GB to play at high textures at resolutions nythin higher than 1280*1024 [which is almost equal to 1440*900].

i had completed both games at 1280*1024 and highest settings without any problem on my 4850.

i ran it at high in 1280* 1024 , and med in 1920 *1080 resolution, and like everyone said 4gb is a must.

yes HD 4850 can run crysis at full settin at 1440 900 res with full setting....

but in some place in da game it ill slow down..if u run it on medium setting then its...
