Anyone used Desertcart recently?

If you don't see any coupon on the IN website, then switch to AE or some other website. I got a coupon from the AE website and it worked even on the IN store. I think those coupons gave me around 1k discount first and then around 6-700 discount later.

Also, the prices fluctuate like every day. So if you see something that is in your budget, place the order straight away. It might increase later. Just your luck.

On their (dot)AE website they have coupons for 50% off on 3rd item coupon (HALFBACK50) and the TAKE25 coupon for 25% off. TAKE25 does not work on their (dot)IN website though, not sure about the 50% off on 3rd item coupon as I haven't tried that one.

That's odd. Maybe they have put limitations due to black friday, or maybe some other reason.
But the AE coupons worked for me 2 times on IN store. Could be a glitch. But it worked.

There are lots of times there that are not available here.

Check the electronics, gadgets and toys section. You can find some cool stuff there.
 
Till now, DesertCart looked like a scammy website to me.Thank you guys for this thread. So many glowing reviews, now can order without issue.Has anyone tried buying stuff which has included Li-ion battery? Will those get shipped to India?

Very good question.

I wanted to order a watch (Analog - uses a SR920W Battery) and the same question popped up in my mind. I asked their customer care (over chat) with the product link of the watch from their website asking them if the watch could be shipped to India or not. They checked and confirmed me that my analog watch was deliverable to my location in India. The CC agent also mentioned that Smart Watches are not deliverable to India and also some digital watches.

My honest advice would be if you are unsure regarding a particular product's delivery then the best course of action would be to chat with their CC agents and ask them (with the product link directly from their website) if it is deliverable to India or not. They will check and let you know. Their CC is very helpful and available 24/7.

TAKE25 worked for me with around 1.3k discount when I placed the order and activated the Pro membership. They cancelled and refunded the order few hours later though, and also disabled the trial.

Seems it is a bit of trial and error to see what will actually be processed if order is placed directly and have to check every item with customer care as you mentioned.

Guess not worth buying for the time being as I cannot get the items for which I was trying to use the website.

Did you order something that has batteries etc and hence got cancelled? I mean if it is in their website it should ideally be ordrable right?

Yeah, actually I went a bit impulsive in placing the order for AirPods Pro2 since with SBI card cashback, it would have been less than 15k, quite a bit less compared to the prices in India. However, it turns out they don't ship what they list.
 
Does Debit Card work with this site?
I tried SBI Global VISA DC and it did not work. shows this error - "Credit_card invalid authorization with status declined". Am I doing anything wrong?

Wow... this is dampening. You placed your order on the 23rd and seller it seems is taking his/ her own sweet time to ship the product to DesertCart'swarehouse. Thanksgiving orders and weekend might be causing the delay also. Is your order from the US, UK or Dubai?

Meanwhile, I ordered on the 29th of November and seller from UK (mostly Argos, UK) has shipped the product to Desertcart's warehouse and they have received it:

I chose something from the UAE hub because I thought it would be quicker, ha.

Support didn't have much to say so I'm just waiting it out.

@?dOuBtFiRe? My ICICI debit worked above with OTP, so it's not an issue with their payment processor.

I haven't been able get my SBI credit card to work in a few places international+online, it could be an SBI issue where they're auto-declining some transactions.

One place asked me to speak to SBI:

People ordering stuff, would like to know what you are ordering. I want to try them but confused what to order and as one member mentioned, stuff will battery isn't been allowed for some reason.

They are damn genuine tbh. I bought govee t2 tv led lights with camera and it came in perfect condition.

I used axis bank fk card, and it worked fine last yr

I ordered a watch.

It's NOT that you can't order anything with batteries. The watch I ordered is Quartz and uses a Silver Oxide cell to work and was shipped by them. It's just smart watches/ items using Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries Desertcart says they can't ship to India as India has strict rules regarding shipping of Li-ion batteries to the country for safety reasons. Like I said before if you want to order anything through them with batteries just chat with their CC and ask if it can be shipped to India or not to keep things hassle free and easy.

You can check Lego sets, they have some nice ones. Watches, toys, electronic gadgets are I think mostly what folks order through them. :)
