Price for APC 1100va is lesser than 1000va..I have a Corsair 850tx PSU..I just want to know whch one is better??

^ dont get apc ! overpriced crap it is ! my friend has the 1100va version and has rmaed it already ! he bought it just 6-7 months ago . buy a microtek ! :)

Well it depends on your system load, both the metioned UPS mentioned can only meet 70% to 75% of the load of the SMPS.

On the other hand one of my friend has a crappy microtek which has also been replaced.
My oldest apc is 7+ years old still running good.

In my experience 1100va doesn't work well with active PFC psu(tested with HX620). I think it's better to go with 1000VA(white one) which will provide you more backup time too. Remember with 1000va there will be some noise from psu when on battery. If you dont want that you have to opt for a sinewave psu. It would be much costlier though. APC has smart series ups, which is sinewave.

I 'd stay away from Microtek. I've played around with lotsa generic branded UPSes (Microtek, Techcom, Supercomp etc) as I didn't want to spend anything on a UPS and nothing has worked for me. Even the Liebert iTon 1kv failed on my earlier rig with a Corsair 750/ GTX 280/ Q9450 on full load. I know it's not an issue with faulty pieces as I'm a computer dealer myself and had quite a few numbers to test with. Didn't test an APC as availability was an issue but I've seen their build quality in other installations and it's superb. I'd recommend a APC smart over generics any day. Just check the load capacity before buying though. Btw, I got pissed waiting forever for an APC and splurged on a BPE online 2kV:P!

Edit: Among the lower priced brands, El Nova build and performance is very good. Check your power draw on load and then decide on the UPS. As long the draw is lower than the rated UPS capacity, you should be good to go.

Will a microtek 1kva work with corsair 850tx psu
APC 1000 VA Smart UPS costs around 12.5K & have pure sine wave output. I am using one with TX850

Am using an APC 1100 RS series on my TX650 with Crossfire, and heavy CPU OC. No issues. Earlier I had an APC 650VA which is running well with a friend. Been like 3 years. APC is good, as far as I can say.

I was confused too for 1000VA and 1100VA

the 1k one cost for abt Rs 5800 and where the 1.1k costed for 4400

I went with the 1.1k

My PSU is Xfx Black Edition 850W

running 2x 5870 Sapphire in Crossfire and i get backup time of abt 20 mins even when i am gaming on

if u have teh cash take 1k or if u are low then go for 1.1k

both offers 2 years onsite warranty

1.1K is cheap coz it doesnt have communication support to shutdown your PC automatically

BTW what is the current price of APC 1100VA RS? Need to get one. 5.25k shipped in ebay after coupon. Is it a good deal?

APC 1000VA RS is good. I have it but I have also RMa'd it 3 times. APC support has been good everytime. If you do take this UPS and ever need support use email and don't call them and log a complaint as the latter is slower.

In DELHI the APC 1100VA is quoting for Rs. 4550/-. My friend went today to the market and found out. Maybe the variation will be approx Rs. 100/- + or -

Guys how is APC warranty claimed? Serial Number or Bill?

I bought APC 1100VA recently from ebay. Didnt get any bill.
